No, this doesn't belong in the smoker thread.
I nailed a deer in my 2500 heading north on 67 right before Deckers today while hauling a 36ft trailer. That's a first for me.
Luckily it was right where you start to slow down coming into Deckers. I was already on the brakes before he made his choice.
Dang thing bent my license plate.
The young spike didn't fair as well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220609/6d8940ca6c1693ce79897b65c846b451.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220609/f6887408b13e8fd6bdee26b5abd450a9.jpg

Whoops . Did you keep him?Would have preferred to call it in and get a tag, but not really a safe place to pull over with a big trailer unfortunately.
Oh, come on, give us the GPS coordinates so we can get a free salvage tag. J/K, but hey..... 35-40 pounds of prime lean meat.
It sucks to hit wildlife on the highway. Lucky if you can avoid vehicle damage and personal injury

Dang!
That little guy would've had some good meat. Good thing only your license plate was damaged. Character....
Man, I was clicking on that play button hoping to see some carnage.

Man, I was clicking on that play button hoping to see some carnage.I'll try to figure out how to post the video. Then you'll hear my son say "Dad, you made me mess up!" because the bump screwed him up in the game he was playing...priorities. And me honking at it like it was a person who ran out thinking that'd make the deer change its mind.

I really wish I could have stopped, even if only to put it out of its misery. It made its way up the hill a bit but wasn't going to live long. 16,000lbs hitting around 30mph is gonna leave a mark.
