"Pitkin County commissioners unanimously passed an emergency ordinance that seeks to ban all firearms, whether open or concealed, away from the county administration building and local polling places through the end of the year."

"This is about protecting workers trying to provide public services, not an effort to violate the constitutional right to bear arms."

Yet another solution looking for a problem that, until now, has not existed.

Yup- I am unaware of any violent incidents caused by responsible open or concealed carriers at local government buildings and polling places. No doubt any future criminals intent on harm will be completely deterred by these new ordnances and signage. [facepalm]

Aurora, CO, is doing it too. Saw a sign saying it was illegal for me to drop off my ballot.

Aurora Central Recreational Center,

Just North of me on Tower Road.

It was a piece of paper posted on the ballot box.

"per such and such regulation, if you carry a gun within x feet of this ballot box, we're going to fuck you up."

Lol. I parked at the lone tree motor vehicle office next to the ballot drop box.

Wonder if my car gun intimidated anyone from voting.
