I just received mine today. Field grade, Colt frame with Remington Rand Slide. I will check the SN later after I have stripped it and givern the pistol a complete detail cleaning and lubricated it. Probably be two to three weeks before I take it to the range.

I did not participate in the first go round but got in for the second round, random number was 31,4xx. It has been quite the wait. The call came last Thursday afternoon, it shipped Friday and arrived at Foundation Firearms yesterday.

I have to say that I am not disappointed in what I received.

Can't speak for the OP but my field grade was tight and if I do my part it shoots a single ragged hole at 12ft.

Mine was an Ithaca frame and commercial colt replacement slide. I found an Ithaca slide online and put it on without any mods and it still shoots just as good.

The fit of slide to frame is tight and no rattling when handled. It feels just fine and has a nice trigger. The finish has some wear and seems original to me. The barrel is black and fits tight and shows no wear in the finish.
