Shall issue, huh?

"Among other information, potential firearm owners would be asked to divulge all social media accounts maintained over the past three years as well as provide references attesting to their "good moral character."

Permit applicants will also have to complete at least 16 hours of in-person training, while private businesses will be off-limits to firearms unless their owners post conspicuous signage indicating otherwise.

Weapons will also be barred from places of worship, public transit, sports arenas, parks, libraries, government buildings, playgrounds, entertainment venues, protests and businesses that serve alcohol, among other venues.

Future ammunition purchases will require background checks in the future under the new law, with information on the buyer's "date, name, age, occupation and residence" entered into a state database, according to the legislation."

As stated on other posts, watch for the expansion of sensitive places, onerous qualifications to qualify for permission to own and carry, huge taxes and background checks on ammo.

The ammo buyer database is a new one to me, and chilling.

This is only the beginning.

Once the banks and insurance companies get on board, it will be virtually impossible to purchase firearms and accessories.

Coming soon to a state near you!

So....basically...you *might* be allowed to CCW within you own home.

Someone said the restrictions also include the sidewalks outside the properties. So if a business does not specifically post that you can CCW in their business you are also not allowed to walk past their business on the sidewalk while CCWing

Seems like the whole notion of banning all these places from carry and structuring the law so that carry is illegal by default everywhere else unless a business visibly opts in would directly violate Thomas noting that you can't declare all of Manhattan a sensitive place. They essentially declared all of NY State a sensitive place and left it up to businesses to independently allow concealed carry.

I'm gonna guess this new law gets tossed. Question is . . . how long will that take and what path would that have to happen by?

Buuuut Defund Da POleese!
Nobody will be out there to enforce anything.
Criminals? They don?t watch the news and don?t care so buying ammo in another state will be the norm! A new black market opportunity for a budding entrepreneur out there!
