Truly a memorable actor whose performances will be missed.
I suspect we'll see quite a few more deaths of senior legendary actors in the coming days. None will hit harder than when we lose Eastwood.

This. He had a lot of memorable roles but the way he portrayed Brian Piccolo struck me more than any other.
Don't forget Santa's Slay. [Santa]

Great movie. Saw it in camp while probably 14 years old. One of two movies I know with sad endings. :(

“I am the last guy in the world you want to fuck with.” Thief. Michael Mann. James Belushi. Willie Nelson. Robert Prosky. Tangerine Dream. Most accurate movie out there about magnesium thermal lances, mafia, theft, crime world. Just cut a door into a vault. This movie came out 40 yrs ago when Michael Mann was just beginning…long before his movie “Heat”. Probably seen this a good 100 times. Caan is so good. Check it out for free on Pluto TV.
He was so good in “Way of the Gun” as a bagman. Some fine firearms in that movie. Can’t believe he turned down being Decker in “Blade Runner”. “Gardens of Stone” is another quiet classic. Not sure why I always like the “conservative” actors before I find out they lean to the right like me. Caan was that way. Duval is also in that favorite category. RIP Sonny.
Just an amazing actor.

Tribute to his character "Mississippi" in El Dorado.
"Eldorado
BY?EDGAR ALLAN POE
Gaily bedight,
???A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,???
???Had journeyed long,???
???Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.
???But he grew old?
???This knight so bold????
And o?er his heart a shadow????
???Fell as he found
???No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.
???And, as his strength???
???Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow????
????Shadow,? said he,???
????Where can it be?
This land of Eldorado??
????Over the Mountains
???Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,???
???Ride, boldly ride,?
???The shade replied,?
?If you seek for Eldorado!?"
Just another hint that I'm getting old. Great actor in so many roles.
Never was a fan of Misery. Took me a long time to like Kathy Bates after that.
