If anyone is interested The CMP extended the ordering window for round 3 and are still accepting orders. If you've been on the fence, now would be a good time to send your packet in.
It looks like they received less than 3k order during the initial ordering window and are moving through those orders relatively quickly. I put in for it this time and received a number that was right at the high end of the RNG's distributed, but I'm still expecting to have one in-hand before Christmas. That would be a turn-around time of about 2.5 months from sending the packet in to picking it up at the FFL.
