I read that there is a gun and Knife show this weekend Jan 2nd and 3rd at I-70 and Chambers. I don't know who runs this show. Military is free. Does anyone know anything about this show. Is it worth going to?

I believe this is the "Gunshows of the Rockies" show. Last time I asked, military only got a deal if you were in uniform. Otherwise same price as everyone else, and your ID didn't mean diddly. I don't know what their rationale was/is, and I won't speculate, but I won't wear my uniform there just to get a discount.

I don't think it is a "gunshow of the Rockies" show. I don't believe they have one scheduled for a few weeks. The ad said all that was needed for free admittance was a military I.D.. Guess I'll find out on Sunday.

Can I guess from your user name that you're a plumber too?http://www.co-ar15.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Yes I am. Denver area. I noticed your quote right away. Good to see another plumber on the boards. [Beer]

OK, I'm always willing to correct myself if I'm wrong (Fortunately, that doesn't happen too often. Unless you ask my wife.) and apparently they've changed their policy. I showed my ID today, and received a "Thank you" and a ticket to get in! Uhplumber was absolutely right, I was pleased to find.

You were right about it being a Gunshow of the Rockies. I didn't check my schedule before I wrote. Both my sons had no trouble getting in with military ID which I was happy to see. It wasn't even all that crowded and I picked up some decent deals.
