Again the actions of a deranged lunatic. You may not agree with the totality of the LGBT+ activist agenda (I sure don't), but that in no way means they shouldn't have their own place to do their own thing.
In today's climate, why no armed security? It's really inexcusable.
Will the perp turn out to be some rightwing wackjob (as the media hopes), a suppressed gay acting out against his desires (like the Pulse), or just a garden variety crazy?
What new schemes will our D overlords cook-up in the next legislative (or municipal) session to target gun ownership?
We are good friends with two conservative gay couples. They are exactly the opposite of the stereotypes- no rainbow flag crap, no obscene flamboyancy, just normal folks working hard in their careers and family situations.
[Mad][Rant1]
Well said ^-they were just doing their own thing at their own place. Not my cup of tea but what the hell?? Good on the two customers that took down the perp and held him for the cops. Very sad.

Looks like he was involved in a bomb threat last year. So I'm going to bet that this guy is a "prohibited person" who was known to authorities and somehow armed himself "legally" with weapons he's not legally allowed to have. Typical MKUltra drone mass shooter.

I wouldn't disagree with you. The situation has evolved from tolerance to acceptance to advocacy. You are now a bad person if you don't advocate for whatever extreme behavior de jour is being promoted.

As with any event of this type it is a horrible occurrence.
The upcoming assault on 2A Rights in this state will be unprecedented.
Prior to the mid terms we saw local municipalities shoving anti gun ordinances/laws down their constituents throats in wholesale fashion.
One town, Superior went as far to state that they want to be the example of “Gun Safety” for the state and the nation. Keep in mind a significant part of the town burned to the ground during the “Marshall Fire” event last December and “Gun Safety” is the towns priority.
Think about that.
Colorado has an openly gay governor.
Now after mid terms Colorado has the heaviest Dem governing body since 1947. And these aren’t Harry Truman Democrats, they are avowed leftists.
Add the fact that women also make up the majority in office so we will get the full Karen effect as well.
It doesn’t matter the circumstances of this event, it will be media spun as a hate crime and we will all suffer for it.
RIP to the deceased and condolences to those affected

Sheriff's Office Responds to Bomb Threat in Lorson Ranch Neighborhood

June 18, 2021
On Friday, June 18, 2021, at approximately 1:56 PM, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a bomb threat in the 9800 block of Rubicon Drive.
The reporting party said her son was threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons, and ammunition. The reporting party was not in the home at the time when she made the call and was not sure where her son was.
Deputies responded to the home and after further investigation realized the suspect, Anderson Lee Aldrich, DOB: 05/20/2000, was in the 6300 block of Pilgrimage Road (which is approximately 1 mile away from the address on Rubicon Drive). Our deputies contacted the suspect by phone and he refused to comply with orders to surrender.
Our Tactical Support Unit, which includes the Regional Explosives Unit, arrived, and took over the scene.
At approximately 4:15 PM, as a precaution, deputies began evacuating approximately 10 homes in the area.
At approximately 4:39 PM, an emergency text notification was also sent out to homes within a 1/4-mile radius of the address.
At approximately 5:46 PM, our Crisis Negotiations Unit was successful in getting the suspect to comply with orders. He walked out the front door of the home and was apprehended.
The Regional Explosives Unit cleared both homes and did not find any explosive devices.
He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on the following charges:
2 counts of Felony Menacing, and
3 counts of First-Degree Kidnapping.
A mugshot of Aldrich will be released at a later time.

And Polis has his eye in the Presidency. He will likely sign legislation similar to Oregon's 114 law and be touted as a common sense centerist working on behalf of the common man.
114 is requiring a permit to purchase- at the discretion of state police. And a magazine ban over 10 rounds.
I am certain that they will try to implement an "assault weapon" ban. A cut to the current mag limit to ten in addition to mandatory classes sure to be full of anti-gun propaganda.
Also watch for various insurance requirements such as a personal liability policy for all firearm owners along with higher rates for homeowners policies. Denial of health coverage if going through the state exchange may be possible as well.
If it saves one life, isn't it worth it?

Deleting posts because they MAY offend someone is bad news. That is the leftist mentality many of us rail against on these very pages.
Leave them up and let's decide amongst ourselves. If someone posts something stupid, rude or offensive (within the terms of course), he rapidly will find out from the other users.
As far as this site being scrutinized, people that are looking at sites such as this for anti-gun fodder have already made up their minds on the issue. Being falsely polite to each other in case some dork from Media Matters happens upon this thread is being overly cautious and playing into their hands.
By deleting posts, it proves that they have gotten into your head that if you say something to offend them, it's better to shove it down Orwell's memory hole and pretend bad words were never said. A better and more persuasive argument is if the monitor sees that when someone goes over the line, other users call him out on it and discuss it like adults, instead of hiding it like frightened children.
How would anyone see what is posted here anyway? I have yet to do a google search on anything AR or gun related and have a post from this site show up in the results.
Wasn't this site locked down some years ago to non-member viewing anyway?

Hopefully this will stop happening, but if we keep letting censored be redacted on us censored it will only get censored.
And that?s my honest opinion that I would tell my Mother, Boss, Mailman, or whatever other censored I would have to be willing to say such a

Watch for Tom Sullivan, who won reelection by almost 10%, to introduce legislation banning the sales of new "assault rifles".
He used his son's murder at the Aurora movie theater as a springboard into leftist politics. He was the primary sponsor of the Extreme Risk Protection Order (red flag) law passed last session. He also sponsored groundbreaking laws such as allowing dogs in court and mandating a two person crew on freight trains.
He received a $1 million ad buying campaign from Everytown For Gun Safety. That is the same organization that wrote much of the anti-gun legislation proposed and enacted by various municipalities in Boulder County.
They paid for his voice and you can bet they will use it.
Much as Colorado has become an icon of the left as an abortion sanctuary state, watch for what likely will be the most draconian gun laws in the nation.
It's common sense, it's past time and of course, it's for the children.

No mention of a father.
Looking at the few pictures, and assuming it is him, he looks like a fat kid and so was likely bullied.
Mom bought him a 6'3" ghillie suit for his 15th birthday. I don't know why he would want one. He doesn't look like a hunter. My guess is he was a lonely kid with no paternal guidance. He turned to video games and the internet, trying to learn how to act like a man.
He found the cesspool that caters to that type of kid and he was sucked in.
I'd be he was on some sort of medication as well since it's hard for women to control a large boy that's acting up (as boys of all sizes do) so they dope him up to calm him down.
It's unlikely MAGA Grandpa 1500 miles away had indoctrinated the kid into a maelstrom of hate as is already being put forth.
It looks more like another lost, lonely boy.
But I could be, and likely am, full of shit and know absolutely nothing.

No doubt the kid was severely messed up, whether grandpa had any influence doesn't matter much as that will end up being the story. Looked at mom's facebook page it's really all about her, no pics of the son. Also have to wonder if the kid got off easy on the bomb threats because of who he is.

Every news channel, online news, and whatever other news sources are hyper focused on the LGBTQXYZ of it all. Further pushing the agenda. I've seen social media posts of people changing their pictures to ones with rainbow flags, or flags around the picture. Agenda, agenda, agenda. It is tragic, but it is also a splendid springboard to further push push push.
I currently know 2 children (16yr old female, 13yr old male) who are mental disasters due to the push for LGBGXYZ bullshit. Long story short (with both), their parents think it is hip, cool, or whatever to be soooooo supportive of the movement. Their kids caught on and now think they are transgender. The boys parents are a complete shitshow and fuckups. Mental midgets who are never sober. The 16yr old girl wants to chop her breasts off. Her dad is a nice guy that is drinking too much because he can't deal with it. The mom is nice she is encouraging the actions of the daughter. Daughter is so fucking confused and depressed, and a total bitch because she really does not know what is going on. Just knows she is getting some good attention and is identifying with other confused kids in the school. I'm going to sound like a total dick, but both I foresee both kids not making it to age 18. Sorry, but it's a reality. Suicide is very common with the trans kids. Instead of helping them with their thoughts, they are encouraging them to be miserable. Not saying they need to go to some sort of brainwashing camp or shit, just saying that the kids are miserable. I see it every time I see them which is about 1x a week.
here is a quote somebody posted in the comments section on one of the news sites. “I don't get the whole LGBwhatever thing and am sick of such a small fragment of society's bizarre and immoral lifestyle being pushed onto the rest of us.”

Polis doesn't make the laws, he only signs them into existence. As for his aspirations, he doesn't want 2nd place. He's going for the big trophy and signing a ban is not as far to the left as you and I feel it is. Many undecided voters think a ban is a good idea. Especially in a state that seems to have a lot of high profile shootings.
It is not a dead end legally. There are 7 states that currently have a ban.

Actually, especially with "child drag shows" and schools having secretive LGBTQ clubs and talking to preteens about how these activities are "normal" and should be encouraged and celebrated, I'm surprised that very few protests have occurred and far fewer acts of violence, or even credible threats of violence.
However, in this particular case, the shooter appears to be a psychotic with no friends who lived with an apparently unbalanced mother who encouraged his violent fantasies. He seems to have had zero social media presence, but maybe we'll eventually find out he was active on 4chan and incel forums, as other mass shooter were.

I thought that was common knowledge. Polis knew an AWB would be a crap show political theater and didn’t want waves. Now, or course Polis doesn’t ‘make’ legislation, but he makes or breaks it.
AWB are on their way out, as long as Thomas doesn’t keel over. Bruen and the other cases make it pretty clear- as even Obama judges have to rule so far.
So Polis can find out how purple the state is and fight to pass a law that will already has a expiration sticker on it, or do something else that he can actually put on his ‘resume’.
Should have put a bullet in his head. Justified and spares society from housing this criminal for 60+ years.

Right?
Not about me. Not about anything except the fact that certain people are fed up with the agenda being pushed over and over and over again. A small fraction of the population and their lifestyle choices being force fed to the rest of the population may have caused this whackjob to shoot up a club. Never said it was about me. So, your f**** yourself comment really does not matter to me.
Your logic is beyond flawed. If the lifestyle choices being "forced fed" caused a shooting, then there would be something in the order of 80 million shooters.
Schools don't cause shootings either, regardless of what they teach.
A church in Colo Springs doesn't cause shootings either, regardless of what they preach.
Incel sociopaths, if you said something like that, I might tend to agree there's some correlation.

Let me see if I follow your logic.
Tegna owns 9news and 65 other television stations. Tegna contracts with Pinkerton to provide security for their field reporters during the summer of 2020 madness. Pinkerton calls on a Colorado subcontractor, Isborn Security, which sends one of their subcontractors out for the day, an unlicensed hothead named Dolloff.
Dolloff gets slapped, overreacts and kills his assailant.
Therefore I shouldn't watch the fat bottom girl on the 4:00 news tell me if it's going to be cold tomorrow?
That's a reach.
There are a lot of reasons to get upset, hold a grudge or boycott a business. This one is so far down the list as to be laughable.

Maybe. Hate crimes are difficult to determine without a confession, since no one knows what another is truly thinking. His lawyers may have thrown that in to avoid the hate crime charges.
It's likely at some point he went to the club looking for companionship but was unable to find any since he's a fucking weirdo. He fell back into his antisocial behavior and sought revenge, using a "full-auto ghost gun".
I have heard the "full-auto ghost gun" reference on two different radio news reports today but can find no mentions on the internet.

Identify has a woman just to go into girls locker rooms? Current culture says that's cool, no questions asked.
Logic would dictate that identifying as some gender confused weirdo (to avoid hate crime charges) is cool no questions asked either.

Most bars I have worked at had a large guy at the door checking ID's.
The problem with a door is egress. You certainly never want anyone locked in, especially during a potential riot situation.
Cameras do nothing to prevent crime against a determined criminal.
Dolloff gets slapped, overreacts and kills his assailant.
This was a bit more complicated than it looked.
That wasn't a slap, it was a full force open palm strike from a far larger assailant... people often get knocked out from those... which was immediately followed by deploying bear spray in his face, which can incapacitate someone within seconds.
He used a reasonable amount of force. Only fired a single effective shot, then had the charges dismissed by the DA.

It's well known that the reporter he was there to "protect" was an ally to the cause and on that day was not operating as a reporter as in was not openly showing press credentials. In effect when you look at his online history he was there as part of the protest rather than an unbiased observer. There is zero reason why a reporter with a body guard should have ever been in a situation where this interaction should have ever occured. Throughout that year and all of the protests that occured how was it that no other reporter in the entire country ended up in this situation?

I thought that was common knowledge. Polis knew an AWB would be a crap show political theater and didn?t want waves. Now, or course Polis doesn?t ?make? legislation, but he makes or breaks it.
AWB are on their way out, as long as Thomas doesn?t keel over. Bruen and the other cases make it pretty clear- as even Obama judges have to rule so far.
So Polis can find out how purple the state is and fight to pass a law that will already has a expiration sticker on it, or do something else that he can actually put on his ?resume?.
Talked try pol guy. He pointed out the new ?anti-gun caucus? but he doesn?t? think that Polis will back any kind of expansion like an AWB. Maybe a ?over 21? rule but he isn?t going to go full AWB or 10 round magazines. He didn?t even think that they might look at using the state patrol or CBI to go after mag sale violations as a ?something?. His reasoning mirrored mine on Polis wanting to be POTUS and there are other things that Polis wants to get on his resume. He also said that Polis with is Liberterian background isn?t a fan of prohibition laws like an AWB. I think the first one is far more powerful. Polis the liberterian is a political myth that is only backed up by his laziness on some issues, and his lack of desire for political trouble. So I think the best path forward is to support our pro 2A guys and tell them to tell Polis that any kind of political BS is going to get really ugly, real fast.

Polis doesn't write the bills. If a ban is passed by both Colorado houses, will he sign or veto?
There is political peril for him with both options.
I think he would sign since that move is more likely to attract undecided votes.
Gun rights is not the number one priority for many voters. Relentless media coverage demonizing "assault weapons" and lauding their banning would work in his favor on a national stage to voters unfamiliar with him. You can bet the DNC would play it up as someone finally doing something to stop the horrific slaughter of innocent lives.

It would be wonderful timing for a ban... when the Supreme Court is 6:3.
Which is precisely why they won't be group efforts to pass one. They are more patient that many would give them credit for. You'll also see the old "New York" move, anytime a Federal appellate court does something that provides standing for the US Supreme, suddenly the state/local/etc. legislation will revert itself to moot the Supreme Court review.

It is kind of funny that the Dems talk about ?Jim Crow 2.0? for voting, but when it comes to guns and civil rights they are basically trying to do an end run around constitutional rights regarding guns and Bruen - just like the Jim Crow laws did in the South after the Civil War to keep slaves down. Also interesting that many of the 19th century laws regarding guns that they will try to say are relevant, were actually designed to keep blacks unarmed and vulnerable?

In the wake of the Club Q shooting and another attack at a Walmart three days later, President Joe Biden has called on Congress to pass legislation — introduced last year — to ban assault weapons nationally. U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet told the Denver Post on Tuesday that he had now agreed to co-sponsor the bill in the Senate. A ban already passed the U.S. House, but with just over three weeks left in a jam-packed, lame-duck session, its prospects in the Senate appear dim.

Politicians have a long history of saying one thing and doing another.
There are thousands of insiders and pundits across all media forms that claim to know the future.
Unless your "power politics insider" is working for Dionne Warwick, he has the same chance of predicting upcoming events as anyone else.

The only exception would be something like a person in a mental institution who has the mind of a four year old but a 400 lb adult body and they crush a caregiver to death during "play".
Sadly, there are now too few mental institutions around these days, certainly not enough for long term care. And, it's very difficult to have someone committed to a mental institution (willingly or not).
Both of my grandmothers and my paternal grandfather worked at a State Mental Hospital. Every summer my brother and I would visit my paternal grandparents for 2+ weeks. I remember going to pick up my grandmother from work and playing on the big playground/play yard. I saw some strange stuff. My grandmother even told me of a woman she saw bend old school prison type bars with seemingly little effort. A lot of those folks could muster superhuman type strength and not even realize they were doing it.
As to the Club Q killer, he'll likely get involuntarily committed to a mental institution for life. Frankly, I'm not sure that isn't worse than f-u-in-the-butt prison.
The club should at least have a doorman, security cameras and a steel mesh door. I have seen MJ stores with armed security at the outside. Some have a door that they have electronic lock to control access. Basic security measures were ignored at the ownership level. An old friend of mine used to say Colorado is the cheap bastard state. He is probably right...
Huh? How many bars have you been to that use electronic doors, steel gates and armed doormen? As for regular doormen, maybe in downtown Denver after 10:00 at night.
The case is going to be defended with an insanity defense. He will be plead not guilty by reason of insanity just like the shooter in the planned parenthood shooting, and the Boulder King Soopers shooting. His medications and previous mental history will go a long way in helping his case.
Insanity will likely be denied.
Apparently he had planned this for months, told many lies in hope of evading blame, and wanted to livestream the shooting to some Neo-Nazi website he adminned.
Someone was posting that he never claimed to be "non binary" until accused of a hate crime... and that his mother forced him to accompany her to Club Q on multiple occasions and he hated LGBTQ people due to having been molested as a child.
So that shows motive, organized thinbking, and clarity of thought... psychotics do not act like that... they tend to be disorganized and impulsive.

Why would I go to someplace with security cams everywhere? The chances of video of me being made public isn't worth it.
That said, I feel for the victims family and those who were there. Another little monster the media will make famous.

Most nightclubs in Denver have at least one doorman posted to check IDs as soon as they open, and some do bag checks and use a Garrett scanning wand.

If you're unarmed, you are a victim.

It is unfortunately a sign of the times, and they should all be doing it. Lots of crazies out there, look at this A-Hole!

Actually, the worst possible combo- 1. Sufficient security to deny entry and self-defense capability for armed citizen patrons, 2. Insufficient security to actually provide resistance to a focused and determined attacker. That little Garret wand doesn't stop the guy who shoots his way in from the parking lot, but keeps me from being armed with anything to shoot back. Probably part of the reason why my frequency of attending such places is very low.

Sure, some clubs will have a doorman checking IDs usually after a certain time at night but even if you look at downtown Denver in the LoDo area I would say maybe half of them at best do this. And a doorman checking ID's isn't anywhere near having a steel gate with electric locks. Whether any of those guys are armed or not I doubt it, that would require additional licensing in the city of Denver as we well know from the Dolloff shooting. What you do see is random patrols by Denver PD and occasionally you might see an off duty cop working a bar.

How many bars and clubs are there in the U.S.?
Should they all have electrified iron fences and a staff of tier 1 operators to ensure the one nut in 400 million isn't able to open fire on a crowd?
It sounds like you are calling for safe spaces.

Tier 1 Operator? Someone call my name?
Today I was surprised to see one of my old coworkers who worked at my school show up. She was DJ?ing that night and got hit numerous times.
She is up and walking around and we were all happy to see her recovering so well.
She told us quite a story. She looked right into that bastard eyes as he was shooting at her.
She was damn lucky.
The school managed to kept her on the insurance so they covered any medical expenses she had.
