View Full Version : Which buffer...
Which buffer would be the best for a 450 Bushmaster, the H1, H2, H3 or not worth it?
If you have any information, please post it. I am trying to find the best one for me, and will take any suggestions...
I would go as heavy as you can to slow up that unlocking time so you dont tear up that expensive brass.
There is a 9.xx heavy buffer, is that what you mean?

Part of the problem is you need to play around with your own setup to determine which will work the best. I would start with at least a H2 and go up as you can. I haven't done a 450, but I have played around with the 458 Socom.
Not sure about 450 Bushy... but the 458 SOCOM was designed to use standard weight buffers.

I just ordered an Odin Works adjustable buffer to use on a couple builds. I can use it to determine the best buffer weight without having to buy multiple buffers. You get two aluminum, two steel, and one tungsten weight. This allows total weight from 3.7oz to 5.8oz depending on which weights you use. Haven't got it yet, so can't say how well it works.

The .450 bushmaster was designed around standard AR parts. A standard buffer weight should work fine. I’d try a standard buffer weight first and increase the weight if you think it needs it.
I have a .450 Bushmaster, but I’ve got an A2 stock on the rifle. I ended up using a slightly heavier buffer because it leaves the brass in an easier to find pile.
