Is there a ak gunsmith in the Denver area that can install a Bulgarian side scope mount? I have a 74 needs the operation.

I would try D. Wilson Mfg and see.

I'm guessing the OP wants everything Bulgarian and already has a Bulgarian side scope mount.
Thanks for pointing out a cool product, I might need one now.
This guy used to sell etching stencils over at the AKFiles. He's up in Ft Collins though.

Was hoping that would be a easier solution as no rivites are needed. I put one on my krinkov and love it.

@elctronman I was looking at those, and may go that route, but sort of was thinking to keep it true to the Bulgarian. It maybe the way though, no shipping it off, and instant gratification.,

I may just go with electronman's suggestion. I hate waiting on smith work.

I am going to check with them out on Monday, if its not too pricy, the akmastermount may be my option... I just want to use the 74 for hogs to see what it will do, and need an optic.

No problem, if you don't like the master mount you could always take it off.
Just noticed the thread here. To the O.P. I do have a Bulgarian 74 patterned side rail if you still are looking for one. And I may be able to help install it time and location dependent. If your interested, drop me a pm.

Thanks, I am going the mastermount for now, if that has hiccups I may go the other route

Sounds like a plan, if you ever need help with it just hit me up.
Side rail is pretty easy to put on and will be a better solution in the end than the master mount.
Remove rear trunnion rivet, re-rivet rail to rear trunnion using existing rivet hole, align rail with receiver top rail, drill two new holes and rivet. Hour job at best.
