The 2010 International Sportsmans Expo (ISE) will be having their Denver show NEXT Thursday - Sunday (Jan 7 - 10)....yes, this is a 4 day event. It will be held at the Colorado Convention Center @ 700 14th Street, Denver, CO 80202.
I will be working at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) booth (seeking new members, selling raffle tickets, answering questions, and generally BSing) on Saturday from 1300 - 2000 (that's 1:00PM - 8:00PM). Ask for Thomas (or Ginsue).
Next to the tables I'll be working, the RMEF will also have it's Great Elk Tour display. The Great Elk Tour is the Elk Foundation's premier traveling conservation exhibit. Showcasing mounts of some of the largest bull elk in the world, the Great Elk Tour is a must see for hunters and wildlife enthusiasts!

So of course this is going on while I'm out of town. Sounds like a conspiracy if I ever heard one.

I wish I could pull that off for you - they're still working out whether or not -> I <- will get in for free.

LOL I was kidding anyways. how much is it this year? We have gone the last couple years and it is cool but never really ended up coming home with anything other than I bought an elk bugle one year

Oh, I knew you were kidding, but it would be cool if I could give away a couple of tickets though.
They're charging $15/person with kids 15 & under for free.
I'm 15...
For the 32nd time anyway,...

[ROFL1] I almost spilled my drink!
I wish I could come this year, but I don't think I'll make it. Just out of curiosity (since I've not been able in the past) what would the CCW policy be at the show?

Yikes Batteriesnare, that's something I hadn't even considered yet. I'll see if I can find out and get back to you with the answer.

I'm hearing ya MtnMan. I thought $15 was high too. Given that I've never attended before, I haven't the slightest idea as to what they have there that could make it worth it for me to attend (especially driving an hour to get there), if I weren't working the event.
I just found out that a long time friend of mine will be working the event too. Some of you may remember her from the (now defunct) Shootin Den. She will be displaying with High Tech Customs, a shop here in Colo Spr. If they have something that interests you, ask for Laura - and tell her you know me (real name is Thom).

I might be able to get down there...lots to do when i get back home but if i am down that way i might go for a few hours just to check things out and see what is new. seems like close to half of the booths are for hunts that I couldn't afford, but there are a lot of great companies and programs down there as well to get into/join.

Well, the info for this show is a bit late now, but there was nothing in place to check for CCW's and I didn't notice anything that prohibited firearms. While posting too late for this show, this is good information to know for any future events at this site (Colorado Convention Center).
