Can a non resident sell a handgun/rifle/firearm to a resident of the state?
ie if I as a NM resident we?re on vacation in Colorado and wanted to sell a handgun to a Colorado resident, via transfer and all other things were legal, mag size ect? could the sale take place?

I don?t think I can buy a handgun in Colorado as a nonresident.

You can buy a handgun in CO. Under the situation you are describing if it is shipped to an FFL holder in your state either if the FFL will accept from a private party or go through a CO. FFL to send it to yours.
