Because I?m cheap and I like Carnival and off duty cops, I have a few Taurus Revolvers. One of those being a 905 9mm revolver, again because I?m too cheap to own a 357/38.

I had it out recently and noticed something funny. The primers were black, so I assumed the primer was punctured. At the range my aging eyes couldn?t tell.

I get home and inspect further and they were indeed punctured with a tiny hole.
All punctures were with Magtech ammo, Because I?m cheap, like questionable Adam?s apples and the rain Forrest.
however the few rounds of other brands seem to have very deep dents in the primer too but no holes.

I also tried that Magtech in another well made 9mm pistol.

I was shooting with and without moon clips and all had the holes.
Some of the Magtech did not have holes.

so I?m wondering is the crappy ammo or my favorite 9mm revolver?

Magtech from A Shield I don?t like how it looks smeared.

905 that didn’t puncture

The last time I shot it, I used Blazer, and I didn’t notice anything weird, so I’m leaving to the Magtech. I normally don’t like that ammo, but it was really cheap.

I had a 9mm do that same thing to the primers before, it had a out of spec firing pin. Like yours it wouldn't do it to every brand just some. I would call toreass and see if they will sent you a new firing pin.

magtech is low quality, so perhaps their primers are junkier than average and simply a thinner cup... but those other non punctured pics sure make it look like the hammer/firing pin is over length.
