Curious to know if anyone's made the switch? I've been with Verizon for over 20 years because in my experience they have the best coverage in the Western US.
It's my understanding that Xfinity Mobile uses Verizon towers. Since I'm already using Xfinity (Comcast) for my cable and internet, it would save me money to switch everything to Xfinity but I want to find out if I'll be losing cell phone coverage if I do.
Exact same coverage...Xfinity runs on the Verizon network.
I have Xfinity Mobile. I don't use a lot of mobile data each month and my phone is paid off so my bill is $15. Nobody else is coming close to that. It's also helpful that it connects to Xfinity hot spots to save on mobile data.
There are certainly gaps in coverage but no more than other providers as far as I can tell.

I switched about three years ago from Verizon (https://ar-15.co/threads/176800-Anyone-on-Xfinity-Mobile?highlight=xfinity). Overall, I am really happy with the coverage. Our home is a dead spot unless connected to WiFI but our service is now better. I think we pay $157/month, but that is for the newest iPhones, insurance, and 10gb of data per month. We chose the 10gb plan because we were told that if you were going to go over on data, you could switch to the unlimited plan for $15 more for that month, then switch back to 10gb vs paying the overage fees. This is no longer an option. Once you switch to unlimited, you cannot go back to 10gb. Not sure how Verizon's pricing is now, but I feel like they are all pretty competitive.
xfinity was fine until I moved and they didn't offer internet there. bill jumps way way up, and I spent 3 weeks trying to get their service properly transferred to 2 other carriers.
There was a very long thread about this years ago where several of us had made the switch. We loved Xfinity Mobile after years of being on VZW. Quite literally didn't notice a single difference.
That said, we're making the switch from Xfinity internet to Pulse (Loveland's new fiber internet service) in a week and internet is the only service we have w/Xfinity. This means we'd no longer qualify for their Mobile service at that price. I researched and we ended up making the switch from Xfinity Mobile to US Mobile months back in anticipation of this move. It seems to be about the same for our needs and might even be a little bit less expensive. I'd say to look into both of them and if you end up deciding on US mobile let me know because there may be a referral code I can provide. I haven't looked into it yet but if you're ready to pull the trigger I can.
