Paraphrasing Silence of the Lambs a bit, but a lesson that needs to be learned at Denver East.

East High School students walked out of class Friday to demand an end to gun violence following the shooting death of one of their classmates
Nothing says progress like campaigning for your civil rights to be taken away. [facepalm]
At the Capitol, students were joined by volunteers from two gun control organizations Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action which gathered there for what they called an Advocacy Day.
Of course they were. It's as if it was almost planned. [Dunno]

Everytown is evil. But they are effective. They are likely the writers of the bans in Boulder, Broomfield and elsewhere. I have no doubt they were behind this.

Another gem...

"There are a lot of small things that can be done besides just banning weapons but making sure there are more stops and things in place to make sure random people aren't just getting guns," Sims said. "I have a lot of friends who are 18 and they shouldn't be owning weapons, 18 being the age you can own a weapon isn't the safest thing for all of us."
And there lies the problem. It's not the availability of firearms, it's the character of your "friends" that is the issue. The vast majority of non-hood rat teens who purchase or have access to guns are not committing crimes.

Students protesting? THere are 3 types of students involved in this:
1. Students who figured out that 15 minutes of fame may be out there if they say the right things.
2. Students who are sheep and wander around following someone who looks like a leader.
and the biggest group of all..
3. Students who realized it is a free pass to get out of school or obligations and really could care less about what is being protested.

It was the first story on 9 at 4:00. They covered it as if it was a spontaneous event.
Curious that there were many red shirts with Moms Demand logos on them.
It also coincided with a scheduled "advocacy day (https://momsdemandaction.org/events/)". There is another one scheduled for March 13. How can the administration agree to this?
These fuckers have no shame, both Everytown and the sympathetic media.
East High, being part of DPS, doesn't have School Resource Officers, right? They stopped that a few years ago and I wonder if board members remember that.
I think the police car in the parking lot makes a difference and an officer inside the school makes a bigger difference. Do you think that will change?
Stupid Thugs like Commissar Trey Anderson of the school board is a mini-Lori Lightfoot! POS all the way and no one has the guts to contest his hate speak. Just an observation.

Will we ever know the TRUE facts of the shooting?
Not gonna hold my breath, it would flaw the narrative.
For one this incident did not occur on campus, it was about a block away.
Victim was sitting in a car when shot.
Totally random shootings where absolutely innocent victims are involved are extremely rare.
How long until it squeaks out that this was a drug deal gone bad, gang related, result of an altercation at school or similar?
East High is such a pure and wholesome pillar of education, how could this possibly happen?
I am sure MDA, Anytown, Giffords Law Center have QRF plans for incidents such as this- never let a crisis go to waste.
One thing every member of this board needs to come to terms with:
The firearm restrictions in this state have been in the crock pot slowly stewing.
They are about to be put on the broiler on high.
We have seen the latest 4 bills introduced in the last couple of weeks for product liability, strengthen RFL, waiting period and raising the ownership age.
An AWB was just introduced.
And these are just the tip of the iceberg. The PTB want to see Colorado’s gun laws the strongest in the nation, exceeding CA and NY. Last year when we saw municipalities (Louisville, Lafayette, Superior etc introducing firearm legislation the mayor of Superior came out publicly and stated that he wanted Superior to be the example for “gun safety” and Colorado to be the example for the nation.
They are gleefully stripping your rights.
Sadly there is NOTHING we can do about it. No amount of phone calls, emails or letters will sway them.
The D have the strongest majority in this state since 1947, they hold every critical elected position in the state and nearly every municipality.
I hate to be the naysayer but after witnessing firsthand their actions in 2012 regarding the mag ban and the like I know they will do their masters bidding and give zero fucks about what their constituents think or say.
This state is a lost cause, it is the Democrats darling state. It was chosen to be the Petri dish and Guinea pig for democratic policies years ago.
If they could shift Colorado, if they could turn it blue they could turn the mountain states.
Colorado is irrevocably fucked.
It breaks my heart, I am native here and have watched a laid back, conservative cowboy state turn into a steaming cesspool of liberal ideologies and policies.
Prepare yourselves accordingly.

Just watched a Colion Noir video talking about David Hogg. Hogg didn't understand the 15 minutes of fame portion and now he just tries to keep it going.
