My HT circulating pump is making a funny humming noise. I don't think it's normal though we've not noticed any differnce in the performance of the tub.
I thought I'd see if anyone of the forum works on them...in the Bailey area...before I went looking for someone elsewhere. I'd like to throw the bidness to a forum member before I get a stranger to come out.
So, give me a PM if it's something one of you guys can handle.
Thanks.
If no one on here works on them, let me know and I'll look and see if one of my insureds works on them. I'm pretty sure we have at least one hot tub guy but will have to check.

It's nothing I do as a career but I've worked on my own. Those motors are usually pretty easy to swap out, had the same problem with mine. Found a motor on ebay, got it installed in about an hour. If you look online there is quite a bit of information on the do's and don'ts of working on them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not volunteering, just saying you might have a shot at DYI on that one. But then again.... mine's not working at the moment so my adivse might be crap.
[LOL]
either way good luck. Those damn things are like boats; the best days of owning one are the day you buy it, and the day you sell it.

I'm a plumber by trade and although hot tubs are a little outside my field of expertise, I have worked on them a few times. Generally, the circulation pump is connected to the distribution piping by means of threaded unions. These are always plastic which means a guy can unscrew them by hand. Swapping pumps on these things is an easy DIY job. I'd be happy to do it for you, but I'm nowhere near Bailey, Co.
As far as the noise its making, it is most likely bearings going bad. When the pump does fail, you can pull it and take it with you to any local pool/spa supplier to get a replacement. The internet is another good option for parts if you do not have a local source.

OK...I'll just pay attention to it and if it quits I can probably figure it out.
Thanks for the help.
What brand? Did you get it at Inglenook? Used to work there may be able to help.
