I am very close to my 50th year.
I think back about... a lot. Many things I would change. Many things I should have done.
For you old farts...
If you were able to grab ahold of your 20 year old self, what wisdom would you give him?

Skip school beyond high school. Learn a trade. Get married. Save 10% of what you earn.
Buy primers when they were $25/1,000.

Live below your means. Save/invest 20%. Collect experiences not things. Visit your friends before they are gone. Family matters more than you think. Buy value not trash nor status. Don?t hold on to stuff. Set goals to achieve them, then set new ones. Spend time with your dog. Perfect your life. Be painfully honest with yourself. Change is good.

Overall I think I did pretty well.
I have one major failure I'd like to undo. I failed both my oldest son and my shepherd dog by being blase about leaving them unsupervised together. My son has physical and emotional scarring that will probably be with him forever, and I destroyed a smart and healthy 4 year old dog.
Everything else comes down to money. I wish I had learned how to buy into stocks sooner. I wish I had learned more about buying gold and silver. I wish I had actually understood that cash loses it's value and it's better off traded for inflation-proof commodities. I wish I had bought more house the first time, or bought less house the first time and used it as a rental as soon as I could move. Etc.
50+ years on this planet and I honestly wouldn?t change anything about how I?ve lived my life.
I?m in a good place and perfectly happy with my life and going back and changing the past wouldn?t have led me to where I am now.
The mistakes we made or the things we could have done better are part of what makes us who we are now.
Oh the list I could make.....

Interesting topic. I can't really say that I regret much or would change anything. Yes, I did fuck up pretty good in my youth and as an adult, but the learning experience was worth it.

I have often had a “What if” moment but then I I let it go.
Sure if I could have changed some things I would have but then I wouldn’t be in the place I am now.
Yesterday is our history
Today is our responsibility
Tomorrow is our challenge
I should'a gotten better prepared for Ranger School.

Exactly. The question could be . What if .. i didn't go, or date, or drink, or, or or,??? Where would that brief moment in time, veering off the path one was on, have taken you.

If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
I was smart enough to leave Colorado for school and work, and then I was stupid and came back. I would definitely tell my younger self to never go back. 25 years later and I'm still trapped in this awful place.

Yeah, of course, like everyone else, I've made my share of mistakes. There are a very few things I'd like to change...very few. On balance, though, I'm very happy to be in the position I'm in now. I don't know that I've been happier. I love where I am in life and this will be a really good place to end this book when it's time.
I may not have everything I want but I have far, far more than I need.
If I knew then, what I know now.............
I would never have voted DemoCRAP.
Oh wait, I don't believe I ever did.
I voted for the other wing of the SAME bird.
Nevermind
Besides avoiding a girl or two in college, I'd have skipped one car and gone straight to another, spent more time outdoors, bought more BTC and ETH, and sold it at slightly different times than I actually did. In general though, i am very content with my life and life choices to date... it's been a good and charmed ride so far.
