Looking for some thoughts. I plan on suppressing an M1A and was looking at the Schuster adjustable gas plugs, which has been recommended by a lot of M1A enthusiasts. I have searched the internet far and wide to no avail. After a dark web search, I only came across drugs, prostitute, and hitmen but nothing on the M1A. It appears no one has the gas plug in stock, and I have signed up on several websites to be notified when they are restocked. Many sites still have the Schuster vented gas plug in stock, and I was curious if that will release enough gas when running suppressed to alleviate wear and tear on parts. I appreciate everyone's thoughts.
I have one on my suppressed M1A Scout. Works perfect. Another thing that helps with the gas is a shorter can. I am using a Thunderbeast Ultra5 and get almost zero gas in my face. And the recoil is very tame and soft even though I am shooting 125gn bullets at the speed of heat.
I also use the Schuester on my 308 NM Garand.

So the vented plug should be no problem?
I have two Silencerco Hybrids. Although I'd like a shorter can, that's just not in the budget right now, especially when I rarely use one of them and the other is nearly new. I thought this would give me a chance to use it more.
