Do any of you with Trusts have a checking account in the Trusts name? If so, who are you using? Bellco Credit Union denied me so it?s time to find a 2a friendly bank or CU.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkCurious, what's the purpose? It's not necessary to purchase firearms or tax stamps with an account in the name of the trust.

My trust from a lawyer (Douglas Turner, in Genessee) came with a couple of pages set up just for bank accounts or other institutions (certification of trust). It establishes the credibility / legitimacy of the trust without a detailed description of what the trust does, exactly for the situation you ran into. IIRC it is only two pages and I was able to open a checking account for NFA purchase without any woke oversight or the credit union / bank having any idea what it is for.

Never needed it. As a trustee you're acting on behalf of the trust and your checking account, CC, etc. is suitable for payment.

Per "Rodney's Trust" instructions, I do complete a "Use Certification" letter that's signed by me as trustee, scanned for records, and a copy given to the FFL for NFA purchases. Likely, it ends up in the trash after I walk out the door.

That?s what I needed, thanks.
