View Full Version : Looking for a 3D Printer person for a project
Is there any one out there that is willing/able to print out a Beretta 92 22lr conversion kit charging tool?
It's for the older kit and looks like this:
Beretta Magazine Charger Tool for Conversion Kit Cal. 22LR | Beretta (https://estore.beretta.com/en-cy/product/beretta-magazine-charger-tool-for-conversion-kit-cal--22lr-C58836)
I have one but would like another for the 2 kits I have................and I can't find one anywhere here in the US.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Find a STL file for it anywhere?

None that I could find........... I'm guessing without that, it's a tedious adventure to try and create one?
Depends on your CAD skills. Mine are slow!
You might be able to use something like this:

I have a couple of these in my range bag and they work well.

Download tinker cad. It?s free. Not the best but easy. Create your design. Send stl to xeometry for a free quote. Order. Sit back and relax.
You can go advanced with Fusion 360 - hobby version for free. This is what 3D printing can be useful at. I did find some old bad links to brownells website for that tool.
If the magazine charger is nothing more than an angled sleeve the task is manageable. I know I have started to learn more than a few new four letter words when trying to work with CAD software.
".....If the magazine charger is nothing more than an angled sleeve the task is manageable............."
It is about that, it otherwise has an edge/finger/nipple on the inside to catch the follower and push it down while loading.
I guess I'll take up the challenge and see what I can do!
THANKS!
Would need a mag or dims to design one.

Thanks Brutal!
When I wrote. "....I have one but would like another for the 2 kits I have................" I meant I do have mag and charger to get dimensions from.

Unless you're really looking to spend time learning some basic CAD like I did for 3D design/printing, which is certainly worthwhile, I don't mind womping something up in Fusion 360 if you can do a rough sketch of the dims. The hardest (relatively speaking) part would be locating the internal nubbin I can't see.

I also have a 1"x2" plastic piece (90% complete) that I'd like to replicate. Instant messgae if able to assist.
I have the base sketch/design body built, just need dims and to tweak it up, add filets, etc. Took about 4 minutes to get this far and I'm slow.

I had started messing with the "tinker Cad" system..........
But yes, I can give you all the dimensions you want later today.
Metric (mm) would be closer I think................photos of course as well.
But yes, it's basically an open box with flares on the outside for gripping.
The inner "nub" is the critical part, as it catches an "arm" on the follower and forces it down to get the cartridges in.
PS: You are ALOT quicker than I am. But this was my first project like this!
It's kinda cool playing with this.
Thanks!
Hey sorry for the delay. Much work turmoil.
Here's the latest and I've printed some prototypes.

If the dims work out, I can tweak anything needed.

Good job Brutal. It would have taken me 4 minutes to remember how to pan and find the offset menu option.
