Just joined today because I am hoping to sell a pistol locally. I'm located in Denver. Didn't see anything about a "For Sale" forum or anything, but one of my buddies told me that there's a 30 day window before you can sell? Since I haven't seen anything about this, whats the scoop? Would love to make a posting but don't want to get banned my first day lol.
Thanks!

We do promote becoming an active member before just "hawking your wares". I have met many good friends via this site. It's not just Armslist here. As a matter of fact, many folks I consider family branched out from one person needing to borrow a trailer.

I bet you?re glad they weren?t looking to borrow a chainsaw.

Hahaha. There is that.
Buckaroobonsai needed to borrow the truck too, so we just took him to get what he needed.

Guy who borrowed your chainsaw still owes me money after I bail his USP out of a pawn shop.

Appreciate that, I'll definitely look into some of the other threads. Unfortunately I'll be moving soon which dampers my intention to connect with people who live here, which is actually one of the reasons that I am selling the pistol. I realize this isn't armslist, but I would much rather sell to someone local who I could actually meet and interact with rather than shipping the pistol half-way across the country. I'll probably end up back in CO in the future, I was born and raised near Longmont, but am moving out of state for a few years while my girlfriend goes to grad school. Definitely understand the community aspect and respect the 30 day rule, but maybe some context will clarify why I went straight to posting about a sale instead of looking for friends!
The next Tanner Gun Show is just a week and a half away. Just go there and walk around with a sign. They have FFLs on site for the transfer, couldn't be easier for you.
Welcome to the forum, and you can stick around as a firearms enthusiast. We do like a close knit group of people willing to share what they know. There are lots of experts in many fields here.
I appreciate the forum rules on selling but also understand the frustration of someone who wants a more local face-to-face sale. I had bought some good wheels and tires on this forum and wanted to resell the tires on a bigger venue but was stymied by a ridiculous 50 post barrier. I'm now an active member of that forum with about 85 posts, but too late to benefit those forum members. A fellow off Craigslist got a great deal.

Just remember, that when you meet your post count minimum & probationary period, this site?s trading post draws the line at loaning out chainsaws?..
