I just bought my first AR from my father in law last week. Its a carbine and so far it shoots really well. Where is the nearest rifle range from downtown? I guess I need to read up on all the Denver laws as I live in the city. Look forward to talking to you guys.

Welcome to the forum! Be careful with them evil rifles in Denver city limits! You can find range location under the "Places to Shoot" thread. Enjoy! We'd love some pics of the new rifle as well!

Welcome.

Here is a link with a bunch of ranges in the Metro area. Cant' recall who put it together but it was one of the members here.

Welcome.

Denver has some tight laws about EBR's (Evil Black Rifles) and the mag capacity, etc. You definitely want to read up on that before going out in public with that AR.

Yeah, you need to be careful being a resident of Denver. I know you are not allowed to have high cap mags. You are stuck with the 20 rounders. I'm pretty sure there is no longer a list of specifically banned weapons, but check to be sure. rmgo.org has good info on this.

Even though I am not a resident of Denver, I can still be arrested and have my weapons and vehicle seized for transporting a weapon with high cap mags. I would need to hire a lawyer and prove in court I am not a resident of Denver to get my stuff back. What BS.
