View Full Version : Tim Scott for President? What Say You?
He's officially declared his candidacy/campaign - https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tim-scott-says-gop-voters-have-hunger-positive-conservative-message-declares-2024-candidacy
I know little about him, but the occasional comments I've seen him make in the media the last few years leads me to think I'd like him.

He doesn't have a chance.
He would have to siphon votes from Trump and DeSantis. It will come down to those two with DeSantis the likely nominee. I don't believe the Republican delegates have the stomach for another Trump run, certainly not if they actually want to win the White House.
I do think Tim Scott would be an excellent vice presidential candidate for DeSantis. He checks a lot of DEI boxes that could appeal to the unaffiliated and is smart enough to absolutely destroy Kamala Harris in a debate. But then so is my dog...

I know almost zero about him, but the little bit I've read has met with my appreciation.
While I don't dislike DeSantis, he's stirred up a lot of hate for himself with his views and actions in FL from the Left. If DeSantis is the candidate that goes forward, the rhetoric from the Left will bring back memories of how they maligned Trump his first time around.
Maybe Scott's fundraising can buy him some recognition to help move conservatives away from the typical party candidate and bring them to Scott.

After Saint George Tim Scott was one of the first to run to the cameras and cry about how we need police reform and that we need more federal regs on policing, RINO piece of crap will never got my vote. Unfortunately none of the choices are good. Watch who comes out to support him, you will see the establishment line up behind him.

More good info. Always like to learn all I can about each of the candidates. They all love to claim how they're only interested in supporting We The People, but their past actions say a lot about their true motives, which is usually power and money.

Trump will concede nomination to DeSantis and get a MAGA pardon in return for his endorsement.

I don't think his ego will let him concede.

Doesn't matter that he's black. You'll still be racist if you support him. He's not black enough, you racist...

Be honest, they'll do that no matter who the Republican candidate is. Heck, if Scott somehow won the nomination, well, just remember Biden's "You ain't black" comment.

Scott, sadly, is a RINO, who will not receive my vote.
I think many of these "announced" candidates are really running for a cabinet seat in Trump's next administration.
