Are there any of ya'll that can help me move a 10x30 storage locker, that I pay far too much for, in to my attic?

Or, can you recommend someone?

Thank you,

-John

I could probably lend a hand this afternoon.

What are the units of measurements of your given dimensions ? Inches, centimeters, feet, yards, meters, Kilometers, miles ?

Never mind, I had a brain fart and my thoughts went sideways…. I started thinking you had a big old box of some sort and wanted to shove it into your attic………[facepalm]

I'd be concerned about putting a bunch of weight in the attic - you sure it's up to it structurally? Also gets mighty hot in attics.....

It couldn't get much hotter than the steel shed of a storage locker I have today (and for the past 10 years?)

I'm sure time is taking it's toll on these items, but at this point my storage bill is so high that I can air condition the attic. (just kidding)

What I can afford to do is put down a layer of insulation and then something like this, https://todayshomeowner.com/attic/video/how-to-build-a-raised-storage-area-in-your-attic/

My storage unit is 10x30 (feet). My apartment is probably 20x50 feet. The attic access is very limited, and I can post those dimensions if it would be helpful.

Thanks for everyones help...

Most trussed attics are not designed for additional weight. I got the "DO NOT STORE STUFF UP THERE" talk when I had my house built. I'm sure a little bit of stuff won't hurt, but this doesn't sound like a little bit of stuff.

Maybe it's time for a bunch of listings on Craig's List, finding a cheaper storage unit, or a new apartment/house?

Do you have a yard where you could build a shed?

Not busting anyone?s balls here, but if you?ve had stuff in storage for ten years do you really need that stuff?

I say sell the stuff that?s worth something and find a dumpster for the rest of it.

All good suggestions/advice. I am just so torn.

I could/should, pay $1000 and have some movers move me from this locker into an identically sized locker next door. My ROI would be about 3 months of rent.
I could/should start selling some of this off, and trash the rest.
I could/should not use the attic, but rather put (heavy duty) shelving inside my apartment.

What I don't have is a yard, or basement.

I have pretty much decided on the Attic option, with all it's limitations, as my best option, so that is what I am going for at this time.

Thank you everyone!
