I was never a big fan- a parrot head as they are called.

I know his songs and like them well enough.

Reading about him today, I had no idea the vastness of his empire or his business acumen.

He was estimated to be worth a billion dollars. Wow.

I may go buy some Corona and have a listen to his music.

Bummer.

I got into his music while on active duty. It stuck with me for a decade or so after that. I had one of his songs going through my head yesterday.

Saw him live several times, anyone that has experienced a Buffett tailgate party knows….the parking lot party was the event, the concert was a bonus. While I enjoyed his music, he was not the most gifted musician…but he was a master at selling a lifestyle. He will be missed!

Yngwie Malsteem is a gifted musician. He's also a world class douchebag. Not many people will miss him when he's gone. It doesn't matter if Buffet wasn't the greatest musician--he had catchy songs that people enjoyed listening to.

I miss him and thank him for my generation's music.
His lyrics and enthusiasm for the Carribean and Gulf idealistic lifestyle brought a lightness and joy when I listened.
Just reviewing the titles of some of his songs brings a smile and memories of grand days.

We drove by his Pascagoula childhood home in June 2022. Very modest beginnings. Not a big personal fan of his music, but I recognize his contributions. RIP.
