I have some prepper food I bought there and trying to get a "it's at least this old" date. Unfortunately, with these items, the date codes would have been stamped on the bulk overpack box and not the individual units, which is how they were sold. Thanks!

I think it has been closed for a long time.

Closed in 2019.

So really it just depends on what your definition of "long time" is.

That's a long time to me

Thanks! I think these items are probably destined for the compost.

They moved to Texas when they closed the shop.

Thanks! I think these items are probably destined for the compost. If it's dried food stored properly, it shouldn't be anywhere near compost old even if you bought it when they first opened.

The items in question are Bridgeford shelf-stable sandwiches.

Any idea where or under what name? I can't find a trace of them

Probably OK to feed to dogs.

Google says:

All Bridgford shelf stable sandwiches have a 3-5 year shelf-life if maintained at 80 degrees or less. Sandwiches can be stored at 100 degrees for six months. Ready to eat right from the package or may be heated.

FWIW, all my preps get stored in the basement which runs 60F or colder almost always.

I once ordered a bunch of lowers and had them shipped to rapid fire. Talked to someone there to make sure they were OK to do the transfer. Made it sound like I could order several and it was 30.00 for the transfer period. Didn't matter if I ordered one or a pile. 30.00 bucks
Ended up being 30.00 each. This could be standard practice for any gunshop but not what I understood talking over the phone.
You guys that have or work for an FFL....was I done dirty or not?

Wow, I did a lot of my transfers there and never had anything like that happen when receiving multiple items in one transaction. That sounds dirty.

Of course it could have been a miscommunication somewhere between you two, but I've never seen a bulk transfer price--it's always per firearm. There's a certain amount of work per firearm on the acquisition/disposition of that gun, and bringing in 10 isn't any easier on them (for something they'd rather not be doing in the first place). Perhaps you heard what you wanted to hear.
