I know college football isn't overtly popular on forums such as this, but I will promote my alma mater as they compete in the Division II National Championship Game tomorrow in McKinney, Texas. This is their second straight appearance, and they return this year with more experience and the expectation to win it all in an undefeated season. Many of the starters are 6-year "Super Seniors" due to the COVID show, and are actually graduate students in their respective science or engineering majors. The quarterback, John Matocha, won the Harlon Hill Award (Division II's Heisman equivalent) last year, is the favorite for this year's honor, plus holds the record for the most touchdowns in all of college football history (not just Division II, but ALL Divisions). He is completing his Masters in Computer Science and drives a 2012 2WD Tacoma pickup- contrast that with a certain quarterback in the next town to the north. Anyway, if you have some free time, CSM takes on Harding tomorrow at 11:00 am on ESPNU. My son and I are flying down tonight to enjoy the game. Thanks!

They have been enjoyable to follow this year (and I'm not a football fan)

They are what college athletes were intended to be when all of the colleges started sports programs.
I will be rooting for them!

Somewhat surprising, but kind of like Jokic in the NBA MVP race last year, Matocha did not win the Harlon Hill for this season. He came in second, which sets things up nicely for a bit of attitude and good performance tomorrow.
