Happy Friday Y'all

My cartridge collection has outgrown the display case. Here's an older pic of what I currently have going on.

95521

The collection started as a few random cartridges I picked up at the range. Then I started acquiring interesting cartridges from shooters I'd meet while helping at the club hunter sight in. The "collection" got a boost when I inherited a bunch of cartridges unceremoniously dumped in an oatmeal tube from an uncle. About this time, I decided I needed to reorganize the way I had the cartridges displayed and arrange them more by caliber than use/origin (I had a .50 BMG on the second row). Anyway, now the display "case" is about full.

I've considered a couple option. One is to dismantle the shelves inside what I currently have and make a little more room. I think I could add another shelf and still have room for a .50 a the top. Another option would be to build another display from scratch. The one I am using began life as a cabinet door I put together out of scrap material to close off some space when my daughter was beginning to crawl.

I'm looking for suggestions and ideas. What do you guys think would look good? Does anybody else have something similar? I've looked online a little and didn't see anything that appealed to me. I'd like something a little bigger, I have a half dozen or so cartridges to add, and I add two or three a year (although that may have slowed...).

Thanks

I don't see a .375 H&H.

Or a .25 ACP. Or a loaded .44 Magnum or .45 Colt. I could give you those.

I can supply a .41 Magnum and a .44 Special if you're interested.

Add a shelf, if possible. Might be a good winter project.

I used some of the rigid foam insulation. I cut grooves in the foam with half round router bits. Used a 1 inch deep shadow box frame.

Maybe you can enlarge on that idea.95526

Shouldn't slot 38 have a 38 in it?

Shouldn't slot 38 have a 38 in it?

They are the reference numbers and 38 says empty

Glock logic.

If so, 22 should have a .40.

.357SIG would be a kaboom.

Thanks for the offers and suggestions. I like the idea of using foam insulation. That got me thinking maybe I could do something with foam core to separate the cartridges and build a shadow box. I'll probably rebuild the display case I have now. It will be crowded but it will work.

Happy to carve something up for you on the CNC router if you give me dimensions and a list of the calibers you have (and are still working to collect).
