What: New Gun Control bill introduced on Dec 5, 2023 in the U.S. Senate
Ginsue Summary:

Requiring:
o License to own, purchase or possess firearms and ammunition
o State licensing requirement
o Universal Background checks nationwide
o 7-day waiting period
o Minimum age of 21 years to transfer, sell, trade, give, transport, or deliver any firearm or ammunition to any person.
o Secure gun storage or safety devices for ALL firearms (as defined by the .gov)
o Federal "red flag" law/removal of 2A rights under the federal level without due process
o Handgun, rifle and shotgun ammunition capacity limit (exemption for .22 rimfire only)
o Semi-automatic firearms (handgun, shotgun and rifle) and "Assault weapon" ban

o "Firearm Silencers and Mufflers ban"
o Transferring a firearm within a 30-day period from purchasing the firearm.
