So let me get this straight- a brick & mortar shop in Washington state is fined $3 million for selling magazines that were banned to prevent mass casualty shootings.
Check!
But drugs are legal there and OD's are a daily occurrence so no big deal.
Check!

SEATTLE - Washington State Attorney General (AG) Bob Ferguson held a press conference on Tuesday announcing a multimillion-dollar resolution against a local gun retailer for illegally selling high-capacity magazines.

Curious if this ruling gets other AG's ballsy.

It wan't his first violation of the law.

The store and Baghai sold thousands of the magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition after the state law banning them went into effect in 2022, Ferguson has said.

Ferguson said the former owner kept selling them even after the state filed a lawsuit. The attorney general described the violations as "egregious and brazen."

The only thing “egregious and brazen” is the states assault on thousands of firearms owners who have never done anything wrong.

What’s the old saying- politicians typically want to take your guns because they are going to do something they should be shot for…

I read the article. That is the most ridiculous fine ever.

The attorney general described the violations as "egregious and brazen."

And the defense can counter on appeal that a 3 million dollar fine is "arbitrary and capricious."

I saw a report that said China had infilrated US information infrastructure and had done so for some years now. Is it possible that this infiltration has compromised our law makers ability to produce appropriate legislation? What a better way than to weaken gun owners abilities on the west coast of the United States.

I know how this sounds all far fetched, but you have to remember the warning by General Billy Mitchell of the attack by the Japanese.

He has grounds to sue and have the law overturned.

Someone should tell the AG that there cannot be a ban anything in common use.

They can ban anything their gun control hearts choose to ban which will be in effect until a court with jurisdiction either places a stay of execution or completely strikes it down. The gun controls are well aware of this and keep playing this hand. First, you have to find someone with standing and sufficient funds to challenge the bans/laws. Then you have to get the courts to hear the case. All of this takes time and money. Dead by a thousand cuts.

I read the attached article.

They want everyone with a CCW to be forced to retake the course (for a substantial fee), as well as a live fire "competency" test, every time they renew said permit... then be banned from carrying concealed into over a dozen places where it is currently legal, and as written could require security guards at such locations (including banks and DV safehouses) to be disarmed.

Wow.

The money would be better spent protecting schools. Of course children don't vote or pay taxes.
Democrat = evil

If they amend the bill to include the legislature and senate, as well as include their own residences and that any security or law officers around them be equally disarmed, we may have an acceptable compromise...
