I'm starting a new business, and it's going to involve painting fiberglass body panels that I produce. Hopefully, lots and lots of them.

I've been waving a spray gun around professionally for for 25 years. Most all that experience is wood finishing, and I need some advice on painting new fiberglass parts. If you're that guy or you know that guy, I'd be super grateful for a few minutes of time to get me started down the right road.

I?m no expert but definitely don?t omit a flex agent from your paint.

‘glass is fairly simple to paint and follows standard automotive for the most part: prime, seal, color, clear. I don’t feel a flex additive is necessary for ‘glass- if it’s flexing that much it’s gonna crack anyway.
The bitch of ‘glass is the prep work-never expect a glass panel to be straight, no matter what it’s gonna be wavy. How the panel is laid up makes a difference as well- laid out cloth- mat or chopper gun.
