Any advice for ultrasonic parts cleaning fluid? Ideally plastic and paint safe like a 10/22 paint.
I have a cleaner and for small parts I usually use paint thinner or mineral spirits in a jar. The jar goes into the ultrasonic filled with water. Worked well on kids skateboard bearings and other things.
But not sure what is safest for gun use.

Dawn so simple green would work too? Do you get foaming?

I worked part time at a small start up 12 years or so that was building prototype sterling engines. We were using Simple Green in the ultrasonic cleaner and for cleaning other parts. We were getting all kinds of odd staining on the parts after running the engines in their pressure vessels and determined that it was being caused by the simple green. We just went back to cleaning everything in an alcohol bath and the problem went away.

I use the aircraft version of simple green. It was primarily used for cleaning carbs in my micro spint car but it proved useful on other items as well. Non-corrosive, unlike standard simple green.
