Thought some of the contractors on here might find this interesting. I guess Krahls owes more than one of our insureds more than a little money.

Days after being raided by the FBI (http://www.nbcchicago.com/topics?topic=Federal+Bureau+of+Investigation), a West Side construction company has closed its doors, NBC 5 has learned.
Krahl Construction is a $100+ million-per-year company specializing in interior construction for office buildings and health care companies.
In a memo to employees, a company executive said simply that the company is no longer in business.
"Krahl Construction is no longer in business as of Friday, January 08, 2010," wrote Chief Operating Officer Jason Campbell (http://www.nbcchicago.com/topics?topic=Jason+Campbell). "For the employees with company vehicles, computers and phones you will need to bring them to the main office of Monday, January 11th, 2010....I would like to thank you for your service and hard work throughout the years."

Yep this company was building a bank in Castle Pines where I built a vault a couple weeks ago. Showed up Monday to pipe the drive up and the whole site was shut down with brand new chains and locks around the gates. Don't know the policy of getting tools off the site but I'm glad none of my trailers or tools were left there.

Sounds like a major embezzling/tax fraud situation to me.

I think they are based in Chicago with a Denver office.

Good. I quit sending them quotes on any electrical work. They shop numbers.

I heard that Krahl made a deal with the devil a few years ago and brought all this hardship on themselves.
