Caveat: You need to salute the rainbow flag now and get an Article 15 for hurting someone's feelings.

Are they just looking for 20+ year E7 and up or O5 and up? Seems like somebody who put in a non-retirement 4 to 16 year tour would also be pretty valuable, especially if they ETSed relatively recently. I started my terminal leave almost 22 years ago to the day, so I am probably a bit past it.

This past March 18th, made it exactly 66 years to the day I received my honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. They certainly wouldn’t want this old fart unless they needed a live active target. [blaster]

Sheeit,
I’m not nearly as old as Blaster Bob, but like him, we still called our uniform of the day Fatigues, Kakis or class “A”s. What is This ACUs & BDUs you speak of ?

Not the Airborne shuffle anymore, it would be the “Old man hobble. Even the lowest qualifying marksman wouldn’t need much of a lead to score a hit.
“ I don’t know, but been told, Eskimo pu BANG !…. PLOP……
Isn't it amazing that despite twice the pop of WW2, and 1/100th of the casualties, half the worlds army's need to recruit true "old men?"?
That's because young men are becoming a rarity.
If we could shoot the enemies with victimization, then these obese manchilds would finally be worth something.

Why use bullets? Use a neutron bomb! This was actually our method when I was a teenager.

When I noted Army fatigues mentioned above, it reminded me of driving off LADD AFB back in 1956, into the City of Fairbanks to pick up some building supplies at a hardware store for some remodeling of the NCO Club. While in town, we were stopped by a couple MP?s who informed us we could NOT be in town dressed in fatigues. The Sgt doing our driving made the statement, ?We can fight and we can die in these fatigues but the citizens can?t see us in them?. The MP shrugged his shoulders and we just drove away.
