Casa Bonita vs Elitches

I'll give you a hint about how I feel. If my daughter rented out Elitches to get married there, I wouldn't show up.

Yeah, but they filmed The 3 Ninjas, 3 at Elitches. You know how much the lockers are at Elitches now? $10! Sure, they give you back $8 in Elitch Bucks, but the price and quality (laughs out loud at quality) of their food is my biggest complaint.

Last time I was at Elitches (and boy do I mean LAST time) there were a bunch of prosti-tots walking around looking like such trash. I'm talking like 14-15 year old girls walking around with their shorts unzipped and the flaps pulled back. I was waiting for some mom to smack those bitches mouths right off; but it never happened. :(

I've never been to Casa Bonita but I used to hear (10 - 15 years ago) that it was all the rage up in Denver. Somehow it just never caught my fancy. Given what I'm reading here it never will catch my fancy now.

Elitches though... While I've been there, oh, probably 3 times - the last time was, at the lastest, 2002, I did enjoy the rides - when I could get through the lines to actually ride them. I too got fed up with all of the gang-banger wannabe's, high prices, and long lines with questionable safety so I just quit going.

Voted for (against) Elitches as that's the one I'm familiar with.

I haven't been to either in a very long time, but the food at Casa Bonita back in the 70s was the worst EVER. If you've ever watched the movie "Time Bandits", you may recall the scene at the end, where the piece of Pure Evil was in the microwave, spewing sulfurous fumes, and the Mom and Dad touched it and exploded into flames. What was in that microwave came directly from the kitchen at Casa Bonita.......

My mom tells me that even from when she went to Casa Bonita as a kid, the food hasn't changed one bit and still tastes exactly the same. My parents took our daughter there a few months ago.


Oh and by the way, The Denver Zoo and Water World both absolutely DESTROY Elitch Gardens when it comes to fun factor and being worth your money.

well, one allows ccw, one doesn't. Live close to CB, Worked at Elitches (the real one on 38th) and met my wife there... pretty good times. CB, crappy food, but appears to allow ccw.

Went to Casa Bonita as a kid a few times and it was cool. Took my daughter there for her six'th birthday. She thought the food was good. No one else did..

I voted for Elitiches. At least I know that if I go to CB I will get sick for a few days, my wife may not sleep in the same bed as me that night and I will get to watch a cheesy show. When you go to Eliches you run the chance of picking up a disease from the bathroom, you trust your life to a 13 year old running a ride, the security will steal what they can from you, you are waiting for a gang turf war to break out, and you get to see more muffin tops than at a bakery.

Only been to Elitch Gardens once. It didn't suck as bad as Disney Land. I've only driven by Casa La Cacka. It skeered me.

Caca Bonita has some God awful crap they call Mexican food. The cliff divers are the only thing going for them. I remember when I was a kid there was a rumor they found several cases of empty dog food cans in their dumpster. And Elitches went to hell after they closed the old one so, my vote goes to Elitches because I'd rather get sick than go to HELL! [Coffee]

casa bonita was fun/cool when I was a kid in the 70's

fast forward to when I was there about 5 years ago.. my god, what a dump.. it's like everything I saw in the 70's was still there and hadn't been maintained. food sucked as well..


eliches... old school was great, new school was ok after they first opened up.. but subsequent visits showed that their upkeep really sucked.

I know eliches is better than lakeside!

sorry but casa bonita sucks a lot more. The food is terrible. I am pretty sure they serve you alley cats and dogs. It is served on a jail house tray. Elitches may suck as well but nothing like casa bonita
