Looks like drones and missiles launched at Israel
Meh.
Pull all US troops/ship/assets and let the Iraqi and Isreal armed forces play in the wasteland.
The US gains nothing by getting involved in another holy war. If Isreal falls, meh, it was meant to be.
While we are at it, stop protecting foriegn trade in the red sea.

You are exactly right. Islam is the Borg. It is a rigid political system under the guise of faith. This is a war brought by the radical islamists, both shia and sunni, but primarily by the Iranian ayatollahs, against the civilized world. Gaza was to be where Muslim and Christian Palestinians could build a prosperous society apart from the Jordanian homeland. Most Palestinian Christians are extirpated or dead. The Palestinian Authority, Hezbollah and Hamas have spent $billions to create a military fortress for no purpose but destroy the Jews and the Israeli Jewish state. The only industry was hate propaganda and a continuing war.
The war is coming here, probably very soon, and made all the worse by Biden's uncontrolled immigration negligence. The Iranians may already have functioning nukes. If they unleash their cells, it will be time for the US to put down the Ayatollah's dictatorial regime and it's military.
Bushmasterboy's scenario has surely been on the board for years, but I think the US will go to great lengths and expense to not be first to unleash a nuclear weapon. To open the faucet will unleash a waterfall worldwide. JMHO

I will always state that the enemy strategy is to infiltrate the US with small nuclear weapons and destroy nuclear power plants. Think Chernobyl times 50. All the spy satellites and high tech weaponry we have will be powerless against this kind of attack. Just walk it across the border and set the timer.

CNN and Fox could do wall to wall coverage of every skyscraper in the United Stares getting hit by planes and pin it all on Muslims with boxcutters for 365 days straight and I would not believe it. No matter how many passports they found in the rubble. No matter how many times I would be told that yes, buildings DO fall at free fall speed into their own footprint from fire damage and debris.
The news is fake AND gay.
But, if I were Iranian, or an Afghan, or Iraqi, I would be pissed, and I would be hard pressed to not be eager for a chance at revenge for the stuff done in their part of the world done in the name of spreading American Democracy.

They shot their wad and claimed victory, with little damage caused.
War over... until the next one, or the next, until they have the nukes ready and are willing to pay that price.

There's a huge difference. In 2004, GWB appeared to be effective in responding to 9/11. In 2024, FJB doesn't appear to be effective at anything except skimming government funds, taking bribes, and destroying American national security. Hell, he's not even good at pushing the Leftist agenda.

No one was killed in the attack. Iron Dome, F-15's and surveillance were effective. 300 drones were eliminated. It is nice for a day at the beach, again.

Someone needs to put Iran in its place. It will forever destabilize the world. If isreal happens to want to do that, more power to them, send them some boom and save all US lives in the process. Win/win.
Even back in the early 2000s, I thought we should have gone after Iran, not Iraq, from the very inset.
If we just ignore it indefinitely, it will impact a TON of US lives at some point in the future. We already have "illegally immigrated" Iranian agents in the US under guise of being Venezuelan.

Sorry, but Thomas Friedman lost any kind of credibility with me decades ago. He writes well, it's just that what he writes isn't worth lining the bird cage with. If we hadn't listened to morons like him on foreign policy during the Clinton years, we wouldn't be contending with the fat loon in North Korea or the Islamic Revolutionary nutjobs in Iran today.
Clinton's North Korea pact and Obama's Iran agreement are what led to both regimes extorting the free world today. Obama went beyond molly-coddling Putin which is what led him to invade Ukraine in 2014 and again last year. The way to stop bullies is to suck up the pain in your knuckles when you smack them immediately. You don't just let cancer spread, you hit it hard or cut it out.
All the Leftists who mocked Reagan's vision for missile defense as "Star Wars" should thank him for Israel even having options today other than pounding the crap out of Iran's military installations and governmental buildings. There would be no stopping them -- or reason to -- if a fraction of those 300 missiles and drones had hit and killed people.
