Looking for some guidance.

Carry insurance isnt an inconsequential cost. I get that having to use the CCW can easily cost much much more. At this point, I am looking at a few different plans trying to decide what is the right path. I am looking at a jumble of apples and oranges.

Any suggestions for a carry insurance program? If you are simply going to tell me to buy the cadillac option cause more is better, feel free to not bother. I am looking for the "cost effective"/"bang for the buck" suggestions. No pun was intended, but is apt.

How much per month or year is reasonable, what specific coverage inclusions should I pay careful attention to, what bare minimum needs to be considered? I am hoping someone here has some ties into this industry. Most people I ask pretty much say, "well I went with this one, soooo, that must be good, but I never compared anything else and I never used it so dunno if it is any good", which doesnt really offer much info for a judgement.

If nothing else, can anyone give guidance on which providers should be avoided? To be honest, they could all be ponzi schemes that really have no support at all, I cant tell.

Sounds like the companies that operate as a insurance company are encumbered by laws
around insurance and can deny coverage for a myriad of reasons.

through collaboration with qualified local co-counsel.

This is the problem with many of these programs (and never use prepaid legal through your work for piece of mind, it's a glorified referral service for broke attorneys).

Collaboration = they find an attorney willing to take on the case, as they need it, at a basement rate. Usually, in programs like this, the attorneys are either:
a) Hurting for work because they are not well recognized or have not developed a reputation.
b) Brand-spanking new
c) Rarely, occasionally experienced but fully burnt out and taking on as much work as possible, if it pays the basement rate, they will give basement work without a lot of care what the outcome is.

Point being: Yes, a defense encounter can cost you a lot of money. But, if one occurs, far better that you do your research and know who you want to call, than get assigned a glorified public defender. These companies only promise representation, not a standard when doing so, and their personal interest is to spend as little as possible. They publish success stories, not failures.

Money, vs. freedom. Also look and see if you are qualified for public defense. If the state would assign you a public defender, you may as well vs. paying the company to do essentially the same.
