Last night, watching the fireworks and the stars with the wife in the backyard.
Something passed right on top of us, pretty damn fast, it was gone in maybe 15 secs top.
Fast.
No sound.
No lights, blinking or otherwise.
Flew way lower than satellites, quite lower than you regular passenger plane.
Not a dot, quite larger.
To say it in wife's words it had the color and brightness of a cloud against the night sky, quite faint but definitely visible.
First time I saw something like that, definitely unidentified and certainly flying...
I am at a loss.
Anyone else saw it?

Probably a meteorite. I did not see it.

Nope, I have seen those.
This was waay too dim to be a meteorite, barely visible against the night sky but definitely there.
Coming from NE towards SW.
At arms length, what size object would be comparable to the size of the object you saw? And did it have a clearly outlined shape?

Between 1/16 and 1/32.
Looked round-ish.
LE was using drones last night in your area.

Do drones have lights or are they completely dark?
If they are LE drones and don’t bust a certain ceiling, they might have permission to go dark for better concealment against observation.

I read a news story today that said Denver and suburbs were deploying drones to catch "illegal fireworks displays" and other activity.

It wouldn't surprise me. We crossed the line into a surveillance state years ago. Homo bureaucratis takes deep offense when John Q. Public does something they don't approve of, laws and constitutions be damned.

There were drones flying around Lakewood too.

Quoted for truth.
I recently read somewhere that Colo Spr is using drones as well. With all of the other stuff Colo Spr has been doing to surveil it's citizens I wasn't the least surprised.
Orwell called this one accurately.

I was educated in George Orwell when we lived in the UK. My father served with the US Air Force. I went to school at RAF Feltwell. It is now a NSA base. It didn't have the big "golfball" antennas when I was there.. Animal Farm, 1984 were all required reading. I would love to live there again. Once AI gains a major foothold in our society it will truly be a "Black Mirror" world.

Definitely not the same deal, but thank you for the link.[Beer]
There are also privately owned drones which fly dark.
95% probability it was a drone. Otherwise, "undetermined."

And just tonight, another one.
Flying dark, darker than the night sky, flying N-S over my backyard in Mountain View about 9 PM.
It looked like a triangular solid object, but when I shone my 1000 lumens flashlight on it almost looked like the three points were kind of reflective, but no light of its own.
My wife thought it was three separate objects flying in formation, but to me it looked more like a solid one.
It must have been flying relatively low, since I was able to follow it with the flashlight beam, but high enough that just a minor light reflected ( or maybe was painted in non reflective black).
Again, no sound whatsoever.
Aren't drones supposed to make SOME kind of noise?

I saw an alien space craft on the ground. Cops came and killed the aliens. 13 years later another alien space craft followed a car I was in, at treetop level. I figure we are at war, since the .gov formed a Space Force.
You can make all the jokes you want, but when you see one up close, it will be scary as anything you have ever seen.
The Senate will have hearings soon...

Seriously??
Same space craft landed near a US Air Force base in the UK. The base is now run by the UK MOD. A UFO report by a pilot in the military used to be ridiculed. Now it is all taken very seriously. Some of the reports have been erased from the internet.
My understanding is a Russian ICBM started a launch sequence in Ukraine by UFO hovering outside a silo.
A Russian officer stopped the launch by throwing the circuit breakers. This was 1982.
While I was on a flight to my first assignment with the Air Force, a flying disc was recorded hovering over the Aviano AB, Italy. It was directly above the nuclear alert facility!

There are a couple satellite triads out there, basically a group of three satellites that fly in a triangle formation. The NAVY runs two of them that were launched back in the 80's and I think China has one or two. If you see one fly over you could mistake it for a triangular object flying overhead with a light on each tip of the triangle.
