Hey guys, I?m new here and just wanted to reach out and ask if anybody knew of any good places to shoot outdoors near Aurora? Any good pieces of land or nice spots you might now of. I really enjoy going out and setting up my targets and really train and not have to worry about some random person sending a few rounds through the wall of their stall (yes that?s actually happened to me before). All tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Probably a lot quicker to get into compared to Aurora gun club (http://www.auroragunclub.com/)!

There is also Ben Lomond Gun Club (https://www.blgc.org/), but I don't think anyone would say that is "near Aurora".

If you're looking for free, there is the Baker Draw Designated Shooting Area (https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/arp/recreation/recarea/?recid=80588&actid=106). Be sure to clean up when you're done.

BLGC historically has a long wait list.

Ah, I thought BLGC removed the ceiling... I guess that was short lived.

I know AGC has a long wait list. It is at 367, so that's a few years out if you get on now.

It was only a guess, but I just looked and:

Colorado Rifle Club, probably not as close as you would like and membership is currently closed but wait list is less than 300.

I belong to Lead Valley... https://leadvalley.com/

It is privately owned...no committees, no wait lists, no work bonds. Private shooting berms for training, etc. Reasonable dues.

Less than 1 hour from Aurora. Rifle, pistol, trap, 5 stand, sporting clays.

Get your name on the waitlist for the Aurora Gun Club and if either are close enough, join Lead Valley or Colorado Rifle Club until you get into Aurora. I'm a member at AGC and CRC and will keep both memberships active.

Are they still requiring members to show their stamps/paperwork for NFA (silencers/SBR/SBS)?

Seemed odd to me that they would sign you up as a member and not trust you to follow the law.
