DENVER (August 29, 2024) ?? The Regional Transportation District (RTD) (https://xgt4dogbb.cc.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=0010tLLyljuLe5CZuNtKizYlz3yMRb0zcYTpeSzqJ mNT0-WI-GNeHXct6UXVBXM2AdYZk7tIZcrclFIuMQsxW4wS7BfMEF-E5uLKca77cauoYHSfejG2l2nd3029f32Mhgcsa-Vf7S9aBG5DLs9nxlfDujSIA2-I5LI&c=NTSHBz9TrBOKIVAD6wnFlidEPMdPZwvPAcJYGZ55gN-X-pWuS729Og==&ch=tyF_VOtSVEXE6vCevpFGrgptrQEmUDbgsXw28HgC5cZzxfa jc2Vnmg==)is working with local authorities to investigate multiple racist signs that were placed at bus stops along Colfax Avenue. A bus operator first reported a sign at approximately 5 a.m. at a bus stop near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Oneida Street. The metal sign was attached to the bus stop?s pole with rivets and appears to have been installed shortly before it was reported.

Really? We're embracing racism in the name of politics now on this forum? I spend a lot of time fervently trying to convince those on the left that Republicans aren't racist and then I see shit like this.

You’re never going to convince them of that. The harder you try the harder they dig into that when literally EVERYTHING, is racist to them. At this point you might as well try to convince them that the boogeyman isn’t real. Because they’ve convinced themselves that the boogeyman, I mean racist are real and everywhere.
I guess the irony of the sign is missed.

Irony? I don't think that word means what you think it means. It literally starts at the top with "Blacks must sit at the back of the bus" ...I don't care what is said after that or what your political standings are. There is no excuse and it's not funny.
And to think that here I've been trying to convince liberals that the immigration issue isn't an issue of race and then this comes along to directly connect those two dots with people supporting and laughing about it.
Laughing about this doesn't make you a good Republican.

I am not a Republican so do I have your permission to laugh?
It isn't racist. It is funny because it points out the hypocrisy of leftists ideals- in Harris' case, placing illegals above her own ethnicity.
Telling people they are not allowed to laugh at something because YOU don't find it funny is exactly what the left has been doing for at least a decade.
bellavite1
08-30-2024, 08:35
I am laughing, it is a very clever campaign and it makes a very good point:
The current "minorities", regardless of the color of their skin, are NOT HAPPY as they see "their " benefits and preferential treatment going to the "newcomers".
And I don't give a flying fuck about proving anything to anybody anymore, they are not going to change their mind anyway.
So yeah, it is funny.
Really? We're embracing racism in the name of politics now on this forum? I spend a lot of time fervently trying to convince those on the left that Republicans aren't racist and then I see shit like this.
Its called irony... Not racism.
Pointing out the fact that the "infinitely compassionate" democrats care more about illegal immigrants than their own citizens, especially the ones that they claimed they had compassion for is irony.... Not racism.
Scanker19
08-30-2024, 09:00
What makes you think I’m good? Or a republican?
If I’m the protgohonist of my own story, and the sign knows something I don’t. Then that’s dramatic irony. I think.
I guess a guy could jump to conclusions as to the political standings of whoever put up the signs, but isn't that about like jumping to conclusions as to the political leanings of someone that tried to kill someone running for president?

Yeah... I think it sends a great message, regardless of who put them up. I don't see it as racist at all. I see it as pointing out "progressive" hypocrisy. But then I'm just an old white guy living the dream thanks to my white privilege.
Bailey Guns
08-30-2024, 09:36
It's also especially funny after your governor said complaints about migrants taking over apartment complexes and such was just "imagination". Maybe those signs are just someone's imagination.
I guess a guy could jump to conclusions as to the political standings of whoever put up the signs, but isn't that about like jumping to conclusions as to the political leanings of someone that tried to kill someone running for president?
So I'm to believe that whomever put the signs up and the people laughing in this thread like it's no big deal are pro-Kamala since she's the subject of the ridicule therein? I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night. I think we can safely make that assumption with a fair degree of certainty.
I'm no fan of Kamala (to say the least) but to link "Black people must sit at the back of the bus" in ANY sort anti-Kamala message is out of line. Full stop. It doesn't matter who it's "against" and it makes it worse that it's not even necessary to convey the point. It's not irony and it's not humorous.
Scanker19
08-30-2024, 10:21
I think the whole point is to be out of line. Is to show how crazy the hypocrisy is. Otherwise it’s just a disagreement akin to “I know you are, but what am I?”
People are sick and fucking tired of this fucking nonsense. And if this is how they choose to fight back then that’s good. You have a whole town up there “taken over” but shitheads, but this is the newsworthy item?this is out of line? It should be more out of line.
Also this is humerus…

So I guess if those of us who argue that the signs are full of irony, do display the hypocrisy of the left and are humorous, all we have to do is say "full stop" and it will make it so? Noted.
The signs are not racist, they are funny, they are humorous, and they do display the rampant hypocrisy the left is known for. FULL STOP!

Really? We're embracing racism in the name of politics now on this forum? I spend a lot of time fervently trying to convince those on the left that Republicans aren't racist and then I see shit like this.
1. You have no idea who put those signs up.
2. You have no idea who, if any, posters here are "Republicans."
3. Posting the images isn't racist. You can argue and ponder the motives of who did put the signs up, but that has nothing to do with this thread and it being posted.
4. You are wasting your time arguing with "those on the left" about what the Republicans are or aren't. They aren't going to listen, dont respect you and dont care.
5. To be honest, I'm not sure why you would take up the argument anyways, mainly, instead, you seem interested in finding fault with the Republicans, not defend them.
But if it'd make you feel better I'll find some controversial and racist signs from the "left" and we can discuss that.............. There are ALOT by BTW.
PS......... for atleast 10yrs (really more like 20yrs) now the left has been constantly and openly ridiculing Conservatives.
So if you're upset by the sarcastic ridicule here.......... open your eyes............ that's politics in America.

I would suspect that they were put up by black individuals to highlight how current "disadvantaged" US citizens are taking second fiddle to recent "newcomers". This has played out specifically in Chicago and New York, where black neighborhoods are NOT happy about their infrastructure and support networks being transitioned carte blanche to the illegals.

It seems like the signs are referring to the fact that the left is pandering and importing illegals to replace the black vote which they are losing. The race hustlers are losing their grip.
People are mentally tired of the name calling from the left and don?t give a shit anymore and its about time. Say what you want and don?t give the left an inch of their self perceived morale high ground.

Here's the guy claiming responsibility.
A Republican activist who publicly mused about shooting Latinos this week is claiming credit for racist signs that appeared overnight in Denver on Thursday.
Sabo complained about Venezuelans and other Latinos, and used an ethnic slur for the Latino journalist who covered the racist signs posted outside the Capitol and the closure of the apartment complex in Aurora.
So it wasn't a joke but a political statement???
Yuck.

It’s an indictment of the logical endpoint of the intersectional group rights mindset of the modern progressives and leftists. I can explain it, but I can’t understand it for you.
Anyone labelling this ‘racist’ doesn’t understand history, politics, satire or the blending of those. It is about as intellectually sophisticated as people complaining about the word “niggardly”.
Now maybe I am niggardly handing out points for understanding this. Yes, it is provocative. But if said “Whites to the back of the bus”, it probably wouldn’t have made the news. If we had truly educated reporters, they would report on the nuance behind the message and let people decide. Even better, if we had an educated electorate, they would see that with out being told.
If you don’t get the allusion to the back of the bus, maybe you belong on a short bus.
Me, I hate public transportation.

Yeah, it's pretty messed up and the exact type of thing that makes Democrats so comfortable labeling all Republicans as racists. They see stuff like this posted in a (largely) Republican setting and a bunch of members laughing about it and then ganging up on the one guy who dares to ask them to question if they're openly supporting racism and you can see why they draw such conclusions. I'm glad I'm not the only one here who possess the power of critical thinking and not wanting to support bad actions simply because they're bad actions regardless of who's expense they're at. I thought I was losing my mind for a moment the way the mob pounced on me for trying to be the voice of reason. Some real quality upstanding citizens here that makes you wonder why anyone wouldn't want to be associated with them.

Just a bunch of lowest-common-denominator-type tribalism by people who don't even have enough of a spine to stand up for their own actions and instead say things like "well, they did it first!" as if that excuses anyone's behavior. Why was the Republican party created?
?In 1854, the Republican Party emerged to combat the expansion of slavery into western territories after the passing of the Kansas?Nebraska Act. ?
?The early Republican Party consisted of northern Protestants, factory workers, professionals, businessmen, prosperous farmers, and, after the Civil War, former black slaves.?
Democrats are the biggest racists, always have been. Are you really naive enough to think reproductive rights are about women?s rights when the highest percentage of abortions are black babies every year?
? In 2020, Planned Parenthood disavowed Sanger, citing her past record with eugenics and racism.?
Do you also feel black people are too stupid to get an ID to vote like democrats think? I have had many conversations with black people about it and they are all insulted by that thought.
Correction, Freedom of speech gives you the right to express yourself without having to worry about government interference.
Only white liberals think everything is racist. People need to grow thicker skin.

UK and Germany do not have a Bill of Rights. They are literally sending people to prison who shared a few memes on social media.
Not 30 days in jail, over a year in actual prison.
Whereas the migrants attacking citizens on the street are told, "No, no... we don't do that here... take this gift card and please behave better."

I disagree.
I love opposing viewpoints and the discussions the evoke.
I don't think he is "virtue signaling". His belief system is such that a reference to the Democrat run segregated south of the 50s and 60s is racist, regardless of its current usage. Absolutely nothing wrong with that or his airing of it.
My problem is with his declaring that he doesn't think it's funny. Therefore, no one else should either.
That is either complete and utter leftist authoritarian bullshit, or simple childlike closed mindedness.
If you are offended by something or don't find it funny that is great. That does not give you any authority to determine what others are allowed to think.

I don't think it is funny, outside of a schadenfreude type irony. The modern Democratic party has figuratively moved Blacks to the back of the intersectional political bus. Not technically the very back of the bus, that's where they put the Jews with their kowtowing to Palestinians and the "anti-colonial" movement. Of course, now I've brought in Blacks, Jews, Asians and Arabs, along with real Africans- oh my, which string of pearls to clutch first!!!!

I don't think its funny, I think it's true. That sign is why Trump, supposedly the greatest white racist of all time, gets more votes than any GOP POTUS candidate ever. It's kind of racist to think that non-white people voting for Trump don't know what's good for them, based on their race.
Blacks are being moved to the back of the political bus by the Krazy Karens of the Progressive and collectivist Democratic party. Sure, the Karens will say that they are only trying to help the Blacks, which is oddly close to the argument used to colonize outside of Europe, and ironically also a reason why White/European/American is hated by the Democrats.
The sign is 'funny' because it exposes the udder herd mentality of the Democratic party of a bunch of bloviating bovines often at odds with each other, but generally drifting, if not stampeding ever leftward.

It's true, and many people will applaud when the Government jails someone for their speech.
Hate Speech, they will say. Disinformation, they will say,
They refused to comply, they will say.
It's obvious they are wrong, they will say.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
I heard on talk radio today, that when someone's speech is stifled, it is not just their speech that is stifled, but it is also the hearing of their speech, by others that is also stifled.
So not only did you stifle speech, but you prevented that speech from being heard by others.
It's obvious today, that our Government is stifling free speech, (and thereby ensuring that I don't hear free speech.)

I came to US a long time ago from communist run shit under CCCP control.
Content was controlled to a tee. If you had a copy of a west German newspaper that truthfully discussed things you did not show it or display it or discuss it with strangers. You would go to jail. And I think this is near where we are now. Comrades you can?t bad think!!!
It was so refreshing coming to the US and seeing different opinions, yes even hateful opinions. It showed that the US was strong and stable and could evaluate and reason facts. And it could tolerate even the worst of it because it was resilient. And as a kid I could smell the freedom and strength.
Fast forward to today and a half assed attempt at provocative statement making results in everyone wanting to go full communist.
Isn't irony the opposite of wrinkly? The sign looks pretty flat to me...

My favorite part is the effort that went into it. It’s not some janky cardboard sign written in deranged penmanship, it’s like a professionally made sign. I have to admire that.
But also, there’s a sign shop out there in 2024 that printed a sign that said blacks must sit at the back of the bus. Talk about
Color blind, the only color they see is green.

The reign of terror of calling attention to Tren de Aragua's reign of terror has finally ended.
Breathe easy, citizens ? the Aurora, Colorado, police have got their man.
No word on what's going on with the violent Venezuelan gang members who have taken over an entire apartment complex, but the lone artist who called attention to this crisis has been captured.
The evidence pointed to one man: the enigmatic street artist Sabo. Authorities launched a massive manhunt.
Thursday, officers from both the Aurora and Denver police departments staged a daring daylight raid of Sabo's Aurora residence, knocking on the door and handing him a ticket for violating Denver municipal code 3-1, "posting on public/private property."
They declined to press any hate crime charges.
I would be banned here for repeating the words of then-president LBJ
