Good question. I haven’t gone to very many Tanner shows lately but I don’t remember them ever having tables set up in the past.

Yeah but why? Law enforcement? They obviously aren’t selling anything…. Are they just trying to educate people about gun laws or what? Seems like a total waste of tax payer money and their time, if you ask me.

I haven't been to a local show in awhile but when I did and at the bigger regional shows, they have always usually set up a table.
They are there to answer questions............ atleast that was what they were doing when I would walk by them.

And if you think it's a waste of tax payer money, don't go to or google anything that mentions "community out reach" ............... that is what it's called.
Last week there were a bunch of Cops hanging out in my neighborhood for a "night out."
It's a thing they all do for around 15yrs now...............

Actually probably yes.......... Matt and Bob drew the short straws and got stuck doing the "community out reach" for the weekend.
And yes, they wanted the job fair but well............ here we are.

ATF has regularly had a table there for well over a decade. Not sure what the purpose of it is other than to remind people that they exist and maybe answer questions. Maybe they do something if someone who is denied on the BGC is red flagged as having an active warrant, but I kinda doubt they actually do anything there aside from polish a chair.

They almost always have a table at all gun shows. It?s more for information packets that people never seem to take or to ask them questions. In general nobody really talks to them and often the only question they get is: why are you here?
