Hello all,

I am new to the forum, and new to shooting the AR. I went up to the north site this weekend and had a blast!! (pun intended) I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the difference between a commercial and a mil-spec buffer tube? I'm looking to replace my stock with a magpul CTR and would appreciate some input as to which size to go with.

I've got a spikes tactical lower with a RRA parts kit in it.

Hey Graves thanks for the link, this helps. seems like I need to figure out what length I need to be comfortable with a scope. Am I to assume that the O.D. doesn't matter much as far as recoil and basic operation is concerned?
