I received my ballot last week. Most of us will have it by the end of this week.

What is the better course of action?

Drop it off now so it sits in a basket on a shelf somewhere for another three weeks?

Or do you wait to drop it in a couple of days before or even the day of the election?

Which situation would it seem less likely to be "accidentally" misplaced?

I have looked around a bit and can't determine when the ballots are actually opened and ran through the machines.

Two things I think of in regards to this.
If I drop my ballot off now, and it's counted (I get texts confirming mailing, receipt and counting,) if there are potential issues with fraud there is a target for the fraudsters.
If I wait until election day, what happens if I can't get to the poll? Or if there are any electrical/ data interruptions while votes are being tallied?

My gut tells me there are more likely to be issues on, or near election day, as apposed to widespread fraud so I'll be dropping off prior to election day this time.

Send it in early. It's more likely to be counted twice :P

I like to do it a few days prior - that way I can see online that they have received it.
I only drop off at manned locations that I have used in the past. Like the local DMV.

Vote in person.

Supposedly you will stop receiving political calls once it's in the system.

What are these political calls that you speak of?

Send it in early. It's more likely to be counted twice :POr it will give them plenty of time to arrange however many more fake votes they need to win.

I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this -- who will count the votes, and how.

Normally, I don’t care, but there are enough ballot issues this year. They might actually be close. I think it actually might count to vote this year.

Politics affects you whether you care or not.

Please vote. So many elections are won or lost by 10s or 100s or 1000s of votes. Your vote does count.

As far as when and how, I favor voting at the last moment, so that my vote can't be planned against, and by drop box, because I am lazy, and it is theoretically guaranteed to be counted.

Yes, I receive a million phone calls, because I have not voted yet, but that is the price I pay for giving my political party my phone number and not voting until election day.

I do get emails from the secretary of state (Democrat Communist Witch) telling me when my ballot is mailed, and they should tell me when they receive, and tally my vote.

Remember what happened in Maricopa County 2 years ago. Get your ballots in now.

I received a BallotTrax email on 11 OCT informing me that my ballot has been mailed. Here it is 7 full days later and I have yet to receive my ballot in the mail.

Odd, I got mine a day or two after being told it was mailed to me, filled it out and dropped it in a box and received email the next day confirming my ballot had been received and would be counted.

I have mine, and holding on to it until a day or two before the election.

If you don't have yours, please ask the Secretary of State, why not.
