Looking for a Public Range close to Pueblo West

I have a friend just starting to get into firearms who lives in Pueblo West. He and his wife need a place close by they can go to zero/sight in their AR's (as well as familiarize themselves with the function of the AR).

This friend may also looking to purchase a handgun in the future and will need a place to shoot it.

Membership at a club/range is not feasible at this point so it needs to be a public range.

I'm not at all familiar with Pueblo shooting options. Does anyone know of a place that would meet their needs?

I go to Texas Creek. West on 50. Cross over the bridge on the Arkansas river. Go right (east) to the end along the railway tracks. It is BLM land. Shoot towards the east as there is a huge outcrop of rock as a backstop. Watchout for ATV riders as there is a BLM sanctioned ATV place to the north and sometimes they head east along the tracks.
