We just found out that the two doctors the family has been using the last several years are retiring and their offices will be closing. I'm generally really healthy and have never actually seen either one of them, lol. I tend to go to walk-in care for stuff that does pop up. But I'm not getting any younger. So we'll be on the search to find another general practice provider. Would like to keep it in the Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Lone Tree area.

Any recommendations? We're going to ask friends, family and coworkers, too . . . but figured the folks here might have some thoughts. Kids are in their 20's, so it's all adults. Wife and I are in our mid-50's--so someone with pre-geezer expertise is probably wise. I'd prefer male, but the rest of the family tends to be a little more agnostic. If there's a rec where there's an option for male and female at a practice, that would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!!

Use to see Dr John Knight when I lived down there, I believe he is now part of UCHealth. Looks like there are female providers there as well. County Line and Broadway

Maybe check out John S. Geraghty on Arapahoe. Maybe a bit far for you though.

HCA HealthONE Swedish affiliate, but they take most insurance and Medicare.

He's a a great family doc and a veteran to boot. I mostly see one of several female PA's for checkups/annual visits. Have only actually seen the doc a few times for serious or "man" stuff.

Are you on a health plan or HMO?
Most have a list of affiliated doctors with their specialties and biographies.
I use Kaiser and look for a specialty that matches my age and health.

We're on a pretty good PPO (Cigna) . . . so we can generally (so far) get with whoever we want. Which has been good. I'll be checking that out, too, but figured it's always good to see if people have some personal recs.

Thanks for the response. Probably would be within range . . . especially for as often as I go. Will check that out.
