... was the most impressive I seen in my lifeti
me. And I've seen listened to or watched most since Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Good golly. Every one of you, every American should watch the unadulterated, uninterrupted speech broadcast via Fox. You will be blown away. And do not move on without watching it fully.

P.S.: As you may know, I've never been much a Trump fan , but with this Trump speech, how can one not be?

Hummer.

I caught snippets of it but now, based off of what you've posted, I'll be watching it tonight.

And the Democrats proved again how clueless they are to the wishes of the American voter !!!

And the Democrats proved again how clueless they are to the wishes of the American voter !!!

Watching all those horse faces on the Dem side was pure comedy. And many of them were holding stupid little signs with snips like save medicare, save DEI, and he lies, showing that they still seek to appeal to the lowest common denominator in society.

It began with Trump's usual bloviating and at 2 minutes I thought, is he really going to do this? On what could be his most important speech? But soon he got into the meat....

I think Mike Johnson should have held up a tape dispenser at the end.

I watched between periods of the Av's game and what I saw I liked. He doesn't hold anything back when it comes to telling the Dems. just exactly what he thinks. Pocahontas took a direct shot that I especially enjoyed as she kept clapping that she approves of another 5 years of war if it would be allowed to happen.

I didn't watch- didn't need to.

It went like this...

I, I, I. Me, me, me.
Everything is great and gonna be even better, because of my incredible ideas and charisma.
If only the other side would cooperate, we would be living in Utopia.

Same speech given every year by every President.

Then the breakdowns-
MSNBC, Slate, The New Republic, etc.- Lies, racism and fascism!
Fox, Blaze, Breitbart, etc.- A home run! Greatest speech ever!

(invert the above for a Democrat)

Pass. I can't stand listening to his 5th grade level speeches and gloating. No way I could listen for 1hr 40min.

America is BACK.

For the rest who don’t want to participate just remain seated.

The behavior of the Democrats was simply PATHETIC. Trump gave a typical Trump speech, and the Democrats acted like children with mental problems.

Had I been in trump shoes my speech would have sounded almost exactly the same!
It's scary how Trump speaks my mind.

I watched it and he was spot on. Granted, the Republicans have remained seated in past sessions when a Democrat was in charge, but nothing compared what these losers did with their little paddle signs and brother Al Green's cane waving that got him tossed out. I wonder how many times the Sergeant of Arms has been called to do that in the past?

Pelosi looked good, Schumer and Jeffries looked lost, and Trump came away the winner again.

The Democrats looked like the audience from an old 'Let's Make a Deal' game show.

it seems to me that in years and presidents past that usually the "other" side still found reason to at least applause on a few issues where common ground was found.

The Dems. couldn't even find a soulful bone in their bodies to stand for any of the guests, including the little cancer survivor boy who dreams of being a police officer someday. That's says a LOT about who the Dems are in my mind.

Many of my friends are Liberals... as in old skool 1980s Liberal... and their opinions never wavered. They do not recognize what the Democratic party has become.

The goalposts have moved so far Left now that mainstream "Democrats" are avowed Marxists... and the extreme Left are basically Communist insurgents. This is not hyperbole, but literal fact as demonstrated by their exhibited pattern of behavior.

Interesting how the party that champions racial equity refused to applaud a 13 year old BLACK brain cancer survivor………

Agreed. Presidential speeaches are no different than election promises, worth as much as pre-covid toilet paper, and as interesting.

Otherwise we'd be on ships taking Greenland "one way or the other".

I'm watching as many Trump speeches as I did Biden's, and I don't have to get those minutes of my life back from either.

This article was pretty spot on. It's almost semi-embarrassing to be an American these days by the way some people act. Urgh!

So today they voted to censure Texas Congressman Al Green for his disregard of Congressional decorum rules and being a dick. He was able to gather some other Democrats to join him "In the Well" while the censure was read aloud.

They actually tried singing 'We shall overcome' and it was a complete train wreck. The Democrats in congress are demonstrating that they just do not have the right stuff to be in politics.

I've never been a Trump fan boy... Sure I've generally liked him... Somewhat but I can't help thinking everyday that "The Adults are in Charge Now" .

All the insanity that we've been seeing for the last 15-20 years or longer, especially in the last 4 years, have culminated into a "don't give a shit" president elected, that doesn't have to run for re-election, straightening out the world order.

Disappointing. Too bad she didn't persue/get quality mentoring/wise guidance from true leaders early on.

Al Green is a scumbag of the highest order. The way he was shaking that cane around seemed almost like a physical threat against the president.

Regardless of race or party, it seems like we've been experiencing a "least common denominator voting in the least common denominator" for some time now (AOC is a prime example). This is the movie Idiocracy coming to reality.

Overall class and decorum is quickly being wiped out and I suspect it will continue this way as we finally start to get rid of the old career politicians and introduce new members to Congress.

It's a shame that we can't get rid of the career politicians and bring in new blood that has class - but there seems to be more trash voting for trash politicians than well balanced folks voting for better candidates. I think part of this is because we have fewer intelligent and classy people willing to put up with the whole process of seeking election and dealing with the politics of politics.

I would be for the house commons to be a 1 and done. No pension, no lifetime benefit. Paid by the state at the medium state income. 25 minimum age. 60 maximum age. Shall not have been a government employee or benefits reciever for the previous 10 years. Barred from government contracts or jobs for 15 years. Never served as an elected official at the national level.

Pretty much the same for the senate but raise the minimum age to 35, and maximum on 65. 2 term maximum, shall have not served as an elected official at the state and federal level more than 10 years combined.

Half the population is below average.

The right tries to bring that average up. The left tries to bring it down.

Grievance politics are a very real and powerful force.
