I asked all over but did not find anyone else. If I missed something... The clouds were getting kind of thick by the time I left. Did have a good day with the old A1. I had forgot targets but someone had left a few for me. I pasted it up and shot 10 at it.

I walked it off and it was right at 100 yards. Good day. Also shot the Siaga and the Fal in 7.62X25.

Don't feel bad, I brought my son up today, got there just about 9:30. All the lanes were full and I in my sedan could not go further back. Asked around and everyone said they had just got there and would be shooting for some time so we had to pack it up and head home.

Just about 90 miles round trip and not a single shot fired. All this to get to a location that is 8-10 miles away as the crow flies...

Sure will be nice when I have range access, counting the days....

The spot I was shooting at was ok. There were quite a few people there when I arrived at 10 but it cleared out shortly there after. It is kind of funny that I will go and shoot there when the range I belong to is just up the road.(buffalo creek).

I curious about that too - is that anyone from Colo Spr that is absolutely, for sure going tomorrow?

Irving
02-12-2010, 19:37
Yeah is anyone going? My only chance of going is showing up at Marlin's place and catching a ride with him. Seeing as how I haven't asked him yet, or contacted him, and he gets up about 16 hours earlier than I usually do, we'll see how that works out.

Unless it is raining/snowing I am going. Be there about 9.30-10.00 AM I have no idea where the "Official" range is. There has to be 20 spots that you can shoot at up there. As for the GPS #'s I have seen they do not mean anything to me.

Every time I've been, I just pull in, take a left/center and each fork, and then just roll down my windows and listen for gun shots. heh.

Well,, I have come to the conclusion after trying a few things today,, There is no way that I am going to be able to stand in snow for very long.. So,, I'm going to punt, and go work on the floor... I'm going to see what it looks like next month....

Irving

Well, I'd have to borrow my parents truck to get out there. Is anyone for sure going to be there? Let me know soon so I can call up mom and dad. I'd really like to meet a few more people from the sight.

I got the whole day off tomorrow. Never been to the south site, only the north. I'm pretty much right in the middle, Littleton. I can pick somebody up at the Mc Donalds if you need a ride. I Can see what you southern folk are like. Somebody pick a time and I'll be there.

I'm going to try to make it, and bring the daughter with. We'll see if I can make it, had some issues tonight with the boy that might prevent me. I'm guessing on the where, haven't been there yet. Only have an idea where from what I've seen here.

I really hate to do this, but I have to bow out as well. My daughter just got an apartment this week and she needs dear old dad (and his truck/trailer) to help her move her stuff out of my house into her new apartment.

Thing is I have a case of Easy Street Wheat (can't find the thread where this was discussed) for after the shooting. I tried PM'ing another Colo Spr member to see if he could take it up there but I didn't get a response.

I think next month is probably a better/warmer/drier idea anyway. I WILL be at next months shoot unless I have family in the hosp or someone is dead (namely ME).

I'm going to try and make it as well. I'm going to shoot for getting to my parents place at around 9am in Golden. I don't remember how long it takes to get down there, or where it is, but I'll figure it out. I'll try to wear a yellow shirt or something.

I'm trying to shoot all the Front Range IDPA matches I can this year, and since they are always the same Sat as Marlin's shoots, I've never made one. This months is canceled though. I'll check the thread in the morning and see who is going. I don't have any guns anyone is interested, and hardly have any ammo, but I like hanging out so I'll see what's happening in the morning.

Wow, you guys missed out today. There was a naked cheerleader tryout at the range. And we got to help. You know, the guys that hold the cheerleaders up over their head. Sorry you missed it. We could have used some help with all those naked women running around.

BTW the spot I was at had nothing but dry dirt and a lane out to 200yards at least. Spots for targets at 100 and 200. Of course I brought back more than I took but that place I was at was fairly clean.
