The USFS has opened a new public shooting range between Idaho Springs and echo lake.

Nice. Thought for a minute it was the old CC (renovated). Is this spot new? Or the old "free-range" area?

It is the old Devils Nose dispersed shooting area that has been rebuilt in to a legit range.

Wasn't this the place a forum member posted about a long time ago, that some jerk hauled a vehicle up there to turn into a target? I thought I remembered someone else stating the car was up there for years.
