An investigation is underway Saturday after a swastika was "displayed" and "visible" to those traveling on Interstate 70, near the city of Golden.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the swastika was reported around sunrise and is already being dismantled.

"We strongly condemn this vile, antisemitic symbol of hate. We stand united with our community against intolerance in any form. This shameful act does not reflect our community's values and will not be tolerated," said the county in a post.

This deeply disturbing incident serves as a painful reminder of the antisemitism and hate that continues to threaten our communities.

If it was a 'hate' group. what message is it sending? "Hey you dirty jews, as you race past at 70, don't forget, we're comin' fer ya!" There are many more effective ways to create fear and intimidation than a poorly rendered swastika made out of painter's tarps.

I don't buy the democrat psy-op/ antifa angle either. The fat, blue haired girls that make up their ranks would be much more likely to hang Palestinian propaganda then to scale a hillside at night to put up a swastika. And remember, antifa is purportedly anti-fascist. The swastika is a clear indication of a fascistic government- that would be going against their deeply seated, well informed beliefs.

There has been an incredibly large disagreement in Israel over how Netanyahu and his government mishandled the advance intelligence warning of a Hamas attack prior to Oct. 7 and the prolonged response.

Littering is an easy one if it's public land. While there's all sorts of new charges in the books now, and I'm decidedly against the anti-semites; it's just a symbol. I also agree it's likely not that organized, and that doesn't look like it's all that much effort. Potentially young pranksters, definately someone attention seeking.

I'm much more a constitutionalist than I am a person that needs to squish everybody I disagree with. It shouldn't be there, as it's certain they didn't have permission to put it there. It needs removed. Someone also can't put up a massive ad that is unregulated.

But if some Neo wants to paint a massive symbol on the side of his house, well, it's a free country.
I'm not going to stand in the way of the people they piss off, either, actions have consequences. I just don't want to be like Germany (all such symbols banned) or Britan (don't hurt feelings).

As has been discussed here before, the idea of 'hate speech' is nonsense since anything anyone says can be offensive to someone. I am with FoxArt that the Constitution allows for all speech, with some very narrow exceptions.

Being offensive is not criminal. Discounting trespassing and vandalism, this could be view as a freedom of expression issue. What is the tarps were arranged in a peace symbol?
