First, kudos to the Syrian immigrant who actually took action in disarming one of the shooters. He was a shining example of why we don't judge all people of a particular race or religion or country of origin as if they were a monolith.
I love what Australia used to be -- another country with its culture rooted in a frontier mentality -- but this is an example of why I could never move there permanently: https://gazette.com/2025/12/15/australias-leaders-promise-to-tighten-gun-laws-after-bondi-beach-massacre-on-hanukkah/
Australian police classified the event as a terrorist attack but their politicians feel the fix is to increase gun control rather than improve their screening of immigrants or clamping down on antisemitism. Their own security service had even investigated one of the shooters for six months back in 2019 but apparently just left him free to do what he wanted. Far more important to them to recognize a Palestinian state that had never actually existed than to track and monitor a suspected threat. Morons.

I agree completely with the sentiments expressed in your post.
Typical politician reaction: Demonize the tools and ignore the evil people behind it.
I can't, for the life of me, understand why "tolerance" remains the mentality for individuals who continue to express a desire to kill and replace entire societies. I especially can't understand groups like LGBTQ+, feminists, etc., whose beliefs are diametrically opposed to the beliefs of Islam, supporting Islamist. The mentality is a disease.

Good post.
I almost think the reason the Syrian immigrant would've fully stopped the threat, but perhaps had no real idea how to operate the weapon. So, the perpetrator was able to walk away, pick up another weapon, and continue firing.
Humans can be dangerous; limiting tools to only a part of the populace doesn't diminish propensities, it just leaves that part of the populace without the requisite skills or tools to meet the threats of the era.

To this point, watch the video of the shooter operating his bolt-action hunting rifle. He was operating that bolt FAST -- probably would have met or exceeded British Army standards for WW I. Of course, if you brought this to attention of gungrabbers with the hope of educating them about their mistakes WRT semi-automatics, they would just use it to justify grabbing all breach-loading guns instead of focusing their attention on people who subscribe to and support a militant movement like IS.

There was also a Russian immigrant couple who were killed at the start of the attack as they tried to disarm the one of the 2 shooters.
There is dash cam video of them struggling for control of the gun and dying together.
I read where a citizen was arrested for attacking the pair of murders after they were on the ground, wounded.
Who knows who that person saw being shot by these killers and was enraged by it.
